Before we begin, let me warn you that I changed the ending to the last chapter. I also explained why I changed it at the end as well. Just a warning too. Sorry for making you go through all this trouble...

Chapter 14

I woke up the next morning with a pounding headache and two pairs of arms wrapped around my waist. Whoever it was I had little clue, but the room was freezing and they were my personal heaters. I shifted and adjusted my place between the warmth, and they emitted groans and tightened their hold around me. And that woke me up more then my pounding headache.

Snapping open my eyes and trying to jump out of bed, I turned to the cause of the noise. Besides me, Eridan and Gamzee were clinging onto my sides, snoring away peacefully like there wasn't a care in the world. Well, that's gonna be destroyed in 3...2...

"Get up you asshats!" I yelled, wincing at the pain that shoots through my head. "And let go of me!"

They shot up, hands gripping at their heads and they shot glares in my directions. I shared little sympathy for them, moving off the bed and making sure I still had pants on. And thank god I did.

"What the heck did we do last night? Why were you cuddling me?" I snapped. This headache was seriously bad and I felt like throwing up.

"Wait... Hold on for a minu--" I cut myself off, running to the conjoined bathroom and throwing up in the sink. I grimaced at the fowl chunky green vomit, but that went away when I chucked more back in.

"Did you have to yell so loudly, Nep? My head hurts enough as it is," I heard Eridan moan.

"Shut. Up. Mother. Fuckers," Gamzee pipped in.

"I think I drank too much..." I whined. Grabbing some toilet paper, I wiped my mouth as best as I could, looking into the mirror as I did so. I heard footsteps heading my way and Eridan appeared next to me, a scowl on his face as he looked at my mess.

"You could have done it in the toilet, you know," he sneered.

"Excuuuuse me, sunshine," I snapped back," but some of us can't exactly act upon the greater good and use the toilet. Give me a break."

"You act like its your first hangover, Leijon," he said. He leaned his arm over, turning on the sink and letting my acids and the water mix and go down the drain.

I was silent, holding the toilet paper to my mouth as I looked away. "For you information, it was."

His eyes flashed to mine, wide and surprised, and his mouth gaped open. Guilt flashed through his eyes, though it was gone the second it came. But,if I really wanted to, I could imagine a fly entering his mouth and choking him, but that thought made my head hurt even worse.

"Seriously? I wouldn't have thought that?" He muttered.

I rolled my eyes as best as I could with my pounding head, and walked out, pushing the Brit aside so I could face plant into the bed with Gamzee. The wild haired boy hadn't moved since I left the bed and be nearly glared at me when I made it move.

"Why would you even think that, dipshit? I lived playing with Equius for ten freaking years and having a doting mother for nearly as long. I couldn't rebel if I tried and alcohol was clearly off any list I had."

The bed shifted on my other side and I looked to see Eridan, his hair messy and his face slightly less pale then when he had woken up, looking at me with those blue-grey eyes of his. Glasses missing, of course. I

"You make a good point. I just figured with how many parties you went with the others..." He trailed off and we were met with silence once more. And that was good enough for all of us.

No one seemed to be looking for us until noon rolled around. I was curled up on the middle of the bed, using a frilly purple pillow to block out the winter morning sunshine. I didn't care where the other two were; they had their own hangovers to deal with and I'm in no mood to even think about another human being.

When a knock resonated from the door, everyone groaned in pain. I curled further into my Ball of Pain, using another pillow to cover my, now, over sensitive ears from the annoying noise. If only I could bash the heads of whoever is knocking on that goddamn door!

"GO. AWAY!" Gamzee yelled. I winced once again, cursing Roxy for giving us those drinks from hell. I should have known what they would do to me! I mean, Equius.... Screw Equius! I should not regret drinking last night... Okay, maybe I regret it just a little bit.

"Oh, you three are in here," a barely familiar voice said. The door opened and heels were heard on the hardwood flooring. They stopped in front of my curled position, pausing for a second, before they tapped on my shoulder. "Roxy and the others have been wondering where you ran off to this morning. I suggest you go downstairs now and receive your pain relievers if you do not wish for them to come up and worsen your hangover."

I growled and peeked as quickly as I can so I could yell at the person that has ruined my "lovely" morning. But I stopped short when I realized who it was.

Rose Lalonde, the younger cousin of Roxy. She was a girl that was apart of the "populars", a group I was in for most of my junior high life and part of high school. She was a fairly pretty girl, even if she did dress in dark colors. With short, soft blonde hair and dark eyes that looked like the bottom of the ocean, Rose stood near the top of the pyramid with her dear and kind girlfriend, Kanaya.

"T-Thank you... I guess...." I muttered, pulling away from my new frilly pillows.

"It is no problem, Nepeta. I just hope that you can get downstairs well enough that I do not have to scrape you off from my floor," Rose smiles. It's a kind one, something that I'm haven't gotten used to from people I used to be friends with.

Okay, well, Rose and I weren't really friends. We knew each other through Kanaya. Since Kanaya and I were good friends when we were children and stayed close in elementary, Rose became a close aquaintance that would occasionally help me with my homework or relationship problems that Equius wouldn't be able to solve.

But it was still freaking weird!

I must have been staring at her, for the blonde cleared her throat and moved out of the room, softly closing the door behind her. That left me alone in a brightly lit room with messy hair and two boys that seemed to hate the world almost as much as I do. And I had to bring them downstairs as well. Or... I could just let them claw each other to death while I eat whatever carbs are still left from breakfast.

The door opened once again before I could make a solid decision and I looked over to see Rose with a similar, but smaller, nice smile. "And Nepeta, before I go, I would like to request that you remember my next words for future use, if you don't mind."

She paused.

"If you need someone to talk to, someone that you can't confide in for any other reason, do not hesitate to knock on my doors once again. I don't care what the conflict might be, but I assure you that I will be here to listen. Even if it could cause the end of the world.

Oh my god.... This sucked major balls!!!

But I got it done, at least....

AGAIN, IF YOU'RE CONFUSED, REMEMBER, I CHANGED THE OUTCOME TO THE LAST CHAPTER!!! LIKE SERIOUSLY, THAT WAS A MONTH AGO (-ISH).

But I figured you guys needed an update and since I had a somewhat exciting time at AkiCon and saw a bunch of Homstuck cosplays that were quite beautifully done (I mean, I saw someone dressed as GHB and I love that brute), I figured I needed to have some attention given to the best Leijon of the Beta Trolls that have ever trolled this earth.... (If you haven't figured it out, I'm talking about Nepeta...;] )
