Chapter 17 ((MY FAVOURITE NUMBER HAS ARRIVED~!))
Cronus Freaking Ampora.
Possibly one of the weirdest person I have ever met in my high school years and maybe even my entire life. Surely, whoever can be near him and look even stranger than him, is truly a miracle in itself.
But I have to bear being near him. For my mission that I have just now deemed "Mission Impawsible: The Apology". I hear its a wonderful sequel to the first one.
"Doll? Are yaz with me?" A hand waved in front of my face, and I focused back to the Ampora in front of me.
"Yeah..." I dragged out. This was awkward. "Is Eridan home? I need to tell him something."
As an annoyed look crossed his face, Cronus shifted and sighed, putting the candy between his nimble fingers behind his ear. "He's not home, toots. Won't be for another hour, so if ya really want to talk to him, I'm sure ya can hang in the kitchen or living room or something."
At that, I was let into the house, which seemed about as cold as it was outside. Goosebumps traveled down my bare legs, wishing that our school uniform allowed the girls to wear pants instead of a knee length skirt. But I had to admit, my legs do look nice with this skirt... But that's besides the point.
Cronus lead me to the living room, or what I guessed to be the living room. Everything was so grand. The couches were a royal violet and covered in expensive looking, gold threaded pillows. The black hardwood flooring had a large Persian rug in the center with a marble and glass coffee table settled right on top of it. A small chandelier hung over everything and gave off a dim light, glinting off the silver grate in front of the stone fireplace and the mirror that hung over it.
"Wow... Your family sure goes all out with stuff..." I trailed off, carefully sitting on the pricey looking couch. Cronus only shrugged and flopped onto the other couch, crossing his legs and looking at his fingernails. The candy was still behind his ear, making it seem like the ginger had forgotten about it already.
"You could say that, I guess," he muttered. He continued to study his fingernails for a few minutes, before looking up, his icy blue eyes almost staring straight into my soul. I stiffened, waiting to hear what he had to say. If he had anything to say, that is.
"What's your name again, toots?"
"O-Oh! Nepeta. Nepeta Leijon."
Another look crossed his face, a mischievous grin sliding on his freckled face, and he leant forwards in his seat, setting his elbows on his knees. He was snickering as well, adding more to his creep vibe that seemed to roll off him in waves.
"So you're the beaut that caught little Eri's eyes, eh?" he snickered out. "A little shy, blonde haired kitten? That's hilarious."
"Hey!" I growled. "I am not a kitten! And there's no way I even--"
"Kitten," he interrupted, his grin slipping a little. "You are by far, the only gal that has ever got her claws so tight around him to drag him this far into a depression. And I gots ta admit, I'm impressed."
I blushed slightly, slapping my hands to hide the red that managed to spread across my cheeks. This was almost flattering to here, but not exactly needed at a time like this.
"I just gotta find out what makes you tick to make my little bro act like this..." he said under his breath. His grin widened again and he jumped up from the couch. "That's it! Kitten, we're going on a date!"
"Wait, WHAT?!"
