Warning: Most of this chapter is based on an experience I, the author, has had over the past week. With a few major tweeks here and there, but the feeling is basically the same.

Chapter 26

At some point during the weekend, a kid broke into the school and decided it would have been funny to write something in the girls bathroom that had the entire school hold an assembly. It probably didn't help that lately, there had been a lot of... well... pregnancies that could have also helped with what the assembly was about.

The custodians were still trying to get all the paint off from the walls and mirrors, but it was basically the same message that had easily spread through pictures and instgram that had many boy and girls giggling until we were all called in for a formal assembly. It dealt with the fact that, according to them, "all girls should start getting pregnant" and that "kids were totally fun".

That leads us here.

Principal Hussie, who also taught Sophomore English when one of the teachers were busy, had decided that this wasn't a laughing matter, since there were already five girls in the past three months drop out of high school for teen pregnancies. We were all sitting in the bleachers with our homeroom class. Luckily, I had a few acquaintances in class to sit besides instead of being a loner and have to be uncomfortably squished and talked over for the entire thing. Sadly, Tavros was sick today and so I didn't have anyone to really talk to.

"Since no one is willing to admit that they were the ones that vandalized all seven girls restrooms," Hussie began to conclude. I hadn't been paying too much attention to the whole twenty minute speech he had been making. "I have scheduled with a few neighboring elementary and preschools nearby that were willing to allow all of you to fill in for them today. Of course, none of you will really be going to anything higher than a second grader, but since some of you think child rearing and child bearing is so funny, why don't we let you all experience it first hand."

Many groaned, myself included. Children were so disgusting up close. I mean, I'm sure many are quite sweet and cute. I wouldn't mind adopting some kids of my own in the future. But I've spent many holidays with children that screamed way too much to be normal.

"You have all been assigned at random, and will all be in small groups. Those of you who have testing today," Hussie continued, giving a pointed look to a few people who seemed to have been more anxious than annoyed, "will be excused to do so. The rest of you will go through tort--- the learning experience."

All of us shuffled from the bleachers and were paired off into separate buses in half an hour. I felt pleased to see that I had many familiar faces, even those that I did not really want to see at that moment. Aradia and Terezi were sitting comfortably near the front of the bus, talking between each other. The former had paused as she was talking, to give a smile and a wave in my direction before continuing. I looked away.

Eridan, Dave and Roxy were sitting near the back, an open seat next to the older girl who happily waved me over.

"I'm sooooo happy that you're here with me~!" Roxy smiled, giving me one of her tight hugs. She nuzzled her face against my hair. "You smell so good."

"I would hope so," I laughed. "I did take a shower last night. Though, considering where we're going, I probably shouldn't have."

"Children are so freaking easy to control," Dave commented. He and Eridan were sitting in front of us and the two were looking quite casual in adjusting their positions to see us. Dave even had his arm slung over both seats, the one he was on and the one before him, shades still on his head. "I mean, just give them the promises of candy and they'd do anything for you."
