Chapter 5

Over the course of two weeks after I become... well... friends with the other rejects of the school, life seemed to be better then ever. I mean, I actually seemed to have friends that cared for me.... Like Equius used to do before he and Aradia got together and started to do couple-y things that I always wanted to do to Karkat.

But now? I think I'd rather give Eridan that right then any of the old friends I used to have. And barely anyone can stand Eridan to be that close to them.

At lunch, while everyone else heads towards the over crowded cafeteria, our little group has congregated to the back of the school where barely anyone can see us except for those that laze around during lunch instead of eating. So it was just Kankri, Damara, Vriska, Sollux, Eridan, Gamzee, and I eating whatever food we were able to get or bring and sharing it amongst ourselves. Occasionally, we'd go someplace like Olive Garden again, or even the nearest Jack in the Box and we'd spend time getting to know more about one another then what we showed.

And now, since I've been added to their little group, Vriska and Damara have convinced me to have everyone at my house for a sleepover. Thankfully, my mother and older sister were out somewhere else: my mother was on a business trip with Mr. Vantas, my sister spending the night with her silent boyfriend. So we had the entire house for ourselves.

After school, Kankri and Eridan accompanied me home. Since Kankri's father was out himself and Karkat was also spending the night at someone else's house (he wouldn't tell me what since he found it could have triggered me somehow), his own home was left bare. And we were in the same situation and he felt like being a gentleman and not leave a "lady" by herself. And Eridan was using his British charm he was raised with, so it must have been second nature.

"Now, remember that Vriska and Sollux would be needing a ride to Nepeta's home, but Gamzee would be dropped off by his brother and Damara already has her car," Kankri said. He held his overnight bag on one shoulder as he reminded Eridan of his duties.

"Yes, I know, I know. Just, don't start the party without us, Vantas," he said. He nodded towards us both, climbed back into his royal purple car, and Kankri and I watched as he took off.

"How triggering, leaving without a proper goodbye. I apologize for him, Nepeta, for being so rude. But, since it's now in the past, shall we enter your abode and settle in before the others arrive themselves? I'm sure you'd like to call your mother to tell her you've arrived home safely, so you don't have her worry while she is away with my father on such an important trip." Kankri gestured towards my door.

"Of course. But, I should warn you, it's not exactly the cleanest place ever.... And ignore any markings on the wall. It's not usually open to the public eye," I said. I opened the door as he continued talking.

"I shall do as you request, since it must be something that could highly trigger you if you warn me in such a way. And I thank you for telling me about the house itself, for I'm sure I would be very surprised and triggered if I found it a way that could trigger me as well."

I walked in, setting the keys ovn the hook besides the door, and watched the black haired boy as he surveyed my house.

The couches were covered with millions of blankets, varying in different types of greens and it complemented with the black leather it was on. The pillows were neatly displayed on each couch slice, a light pink colour. The floors were littered with random papers from all three of us in the house: old homework, love letters that were never finished, and even copies of Mr. Vantas' speeches from the days when Mom and him were younger.

Pictures of us were every in the house, even the bathrooms, but my room was barren of anything from before I was friends with the rest of the outcasts. Anything with Equius, Karkat, Kanaya, Latula, John... any of the people I hung around that weren't called freaks or left behind, their things I've stored away.

"You can set your things in my room. It's the second door on the left," I directed him towards the staircase. "I'll be in the kitchen making snacks when you're done, okay?"

"Thank you, Nepeta."

Kankri left and I went into the kitchen. I figured, while we wait for the others to show up, we could watch a few movies ourselves while we eat popcorn. I just wonder which movie we should start with...

=^.^= TIME SKIP =^.^=

It was a little after 5 o'clock when Gamzee and Damara showed up. For some reason, the Japanese girl had a body pillow with another girl in a really provocative position. She also had a burgundy bag with her, and I wouldn't want to know what "toys" she brought with her.

「我々は一人でしているかもしれない場合、私たちは私がここでお互いの中に持っているものを使用することができます」

"Uh... No thanks, Damara. But thank you for the offer.... I guess." I let her in and was about to close the door when Gamzee showed up.

"Hey Lil Mama. You look so chill tonight and so motherfucking comfortable," he said. He set one of his large hands on my head and combed his fingers through my hair. It felt nice, even if it was friendly. It was almost like what Mom used to do when I was little.

"Thanks, I guess, Pawzee," I said. I let him in as well and double checked to make sure no one else was coming. I'm sure if I slammed the door in their face on accident Kankri would give me a scolding lecture.

"Do you still have that motherfucking Faygo I left over last time I was here, Lil Mama?" he asked. He made his way to the kitchen after greeting Damara and Kankri on the couch (though Kankri almost looked like he wanted to jump off and fly away from her pillow), and opened one of the cupboards.

"It's in the fridge with your name on it," I said. I walked in after him and sat on the counter, watching as he moved around.

To be a little honest, Gamzee has a good looking butt. You'd think with how much sitting he does, it would be flat, but it was somehow so perky and round and you couldn't help but stare at it. I guess Damara's and Vriska's behaviours are starting to get into my head because I never usually think this way.

"Thanks Lil Mama. You're a motherfucking miracle for keeping this for me." He opened the fizzy drink and sat at the island in the middle kitchen, directly across from me.

"Twas not a problem, Pawzee. It wasn't like it was gonna go anywhere," I smiled at him and watched him drink some of his Faygo. After a few gulps, he passed the bottle to me. I blushed slightly. It was a stupid thought, but wouldn't this be considered an indirect kiss?

Taking a few sips myself, I heard the doorbell ring once more. Considering how everyone else is here, it must just be Eridan, Vriska and Sollux.

I handed the bottle back to the Juggalo, who took a swig immediately, and went to the front door. I opened it instantly, but jumped in shock when I saw who was on the other side.

"Kanaya?"

"So this is your house, Nepeta. I can not believe that you invited Gamzee and Damara over. What has brought on this new liking towards those that do not seem to fit in any stitch?" she asked. She peered in and I saw her face go pale and her green eyes widen.

"What on earth is going on in there, Nepeta? It's complete chaos!"

I looked behind me to see Damara trying to shove her Love Pillow into Kankri's face as he tried reaching towards his Trigger Whistle. Gamzee was on the floor, laughing his ass off while stealing some snacks from the table.

"I guess it is. But it's fine, Kanaya. They're having fun, and soon I'll join them. And even if they don't seem to fit in anywhere, they fit in with me," I said. I didn't want to be mean to her, I mean, she's really caring and motherly to everyone, but it was for the best. Leave behind your past as best as you can to make a better life. "Now, if you excuse me, I have to prepare for three more guests to arrive."

I closed the door and joined in on the fight, deciding that it was best to side with Damara so she doesn't stick her porn pillow in your face as well.
