"Where are we going Daddy?" Eden and Crowley had been walking along one of Epping's many dirt paths for quite awhile now and Eden's curiosity was piqued. Her Papa wasn't with them, and her Daddy didn't have a picnic basket, and they had passed their stargazing clearing…and there was no reason for them to go there during the day anyways….
"What's going on?"
"You'll see Queenie." Crowley replied. "Just be patient."
At long last Crowley and Eden approached a clearing surrounded by red and pink rose bushes. "Daddy, where did all of these come from?" There was already a rose bush at South Downs, which was the first thing she ever planted, along with the one that Crowley had planted to celebrate her birth….not to mention the one that she and Gabriel had planted at Archangel Falls…
"You can never have too many roses. Besides, this will help us know that this is where we will train."
"Train?" Eden asked. Crowley pointed and Eden saw a brand new picnic table. On said table was training swords made out of wood along with a couple of wooden shields.
"I don't understand…."
"You wanted to learn how to fight so I'm going to teach you, but on my own terms. I will not risk your safety by letting you anywhere near your Papa’s old sword from his King Arthur Days. Besides, Aziraphale would fucking kill me if I even considered it…."
"Does Papa know?"
Crowley nodded. "Yes. And he will talk to you about that later. But for now," Crowley picked up a wooden sword from the table and handed it to Eden. "We will use these. The ends are blunt so we won't get hurt and as you can see, there's a couple of shields too."
Eden, although a tiny bit disappointed that she wouldn't get to use Excalibur as she had hoped, she couldn't help but be excited that her Daddy would be training her. He was the Black Knight after all….
"Now, we have a little time before we have to go back for breakfast, would you like to learn a few basics?"
"Yes!" Eden grasped her training sword tightly as she grabbed her shield.
