"You were right. I did need this." Eden murmured as she leaned against Gabriel's warm chest. She glanced up and saw that Gabriel's face was still quite red. "Are you alright angel?" Eden had made sure that most of her body was covered with bubbles. She and Gabriel hadn't been nude around each other very often and she didn't want to make Gabriel uncomfortable.
"I-I'm o-okay. Would you like some more sushi?" He and Eden had finished the sushi just moments ago. "No thanks."
"Is there anything I can do for you Edie?" Gabriel asked. Eden thought for a moment. "Well, I'm ready to get dressed and I would like for you to wait for me in here if you don't mind."
Gabriel practically leapt out of the tub. "No, of course not." Gabriel helped Eden out of the bathtub and Eden grinned mischievously. "You can watch me get dressed if you like. I don't mind…" Eden assumed that he must have been watching because the Archangel was silent as she slipped into her undergarments and then the dress.
When Eden turned to meet Gabriel's gaze, the Archangel was frantically trying to tie a towel around his waist. "I…er….I…" Gabriel averted his gaze and his face turned a shade darker.
Eden stepped forward and held Gabriel's face in her hands. "You know, you can just tell me that you want to be intimate. You don't have to go out of your way to butter me up, although I do appreciate the gesture." Gabriel's gaze finally met hers.
"I-I've never done this before…" Gabriel rasped.
Eden nodded with understanding. "Neither have I."
Gabriel stroked her scarred cheek and then continued. "But you have been working nonstop ever since the puppies were born…"
"Well, they are babies and they're a big responsibility." Eden said matter of factly.
"But I'm here to help you care for them. You don't have to do everything, you deserve some pampering."
"Sex is pampering?" Eden asked.
Gabriel's face fell. "No! No, as for the intimacy…I simply want to express how much I love you in….that way…." Gabriel struggled to find the right words.
"Hey, it's okay. I understand what you're trying to say. That's why I chose this dress, so I would look nice for you." Eden grabbed Gabriel by the hand.
"I would consider it an honor to finally be able to express my love to you my dear Archangel Gabriel."
"Should I slip into something formal as well?" Gabriel asked as Eden led him to the bedroom.
Gabriel felt his heart do a somersault when Eden grinned at him. "I think you look fine as you are. Absolutely scrummy and if you'll allow it, I'm going to eat you up my dear Archangel."
