Gabriel kissed Eden tenderly on the forehead and then tucked her in. Eden had been feeling tired after she enjoyed a nice home cooked lunch in bed and Gabriel was more than happy to help her get settled.
The Archangel stroked his wife's face lovingly. "I'll come join you after I take care of the dishes honey." Eden nodded tiredly but then smiled when the Archangel turned to her swollen stomach. He placed his hands on the curve of her belly and when he felt those little kicks, he rasped, "You three take it easy in there! Your Mum is working really hard to make sure that you grow big and strong."
"Daddy is helping me, you know." Eden murmured fondly as she squeezed his wrist.
"You have an amazing Daddy who loves you three very much."
As Gabriel deposited the dishes in the kitchen sink, he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Gabriel, I can do those, why don’t you head to bed. You look dead on your feet."
"But there's still so much to do..." Gabriel replied. "The dogs need to go out one more time before bed, and Samwise needs to be seen to as well...."
Crowley interrupted him. "That's why Aziraphale and I are here. You can't do all of this yourself, so we'll take care of it."
"Thank you Crowley." Gabriel replied gratefully as his father in law patted his shoulder. "Get some rest. You need to rest as much as Eden."
Gabriel thanked Crowley again and he made his way upstairs.
The Archangel crawled into bed next to Eden and fell asleep within seconds.
