"Eden, Little One. I think you're going into labor." Aziraphale's face looked pained. The angel had felt an agonizing pain in his gut. A pain he remembered all too well. Aziraphale had felt the pain shoot through his stomach the very second he heard Eden's cry of agony.

At Eden's cry, he and Gabriel dashed to the backroom and they had found Eden with tears streaming down her face. Gabriel was at her side instantly.

Archangel Gabriel blinked dumbly at his father in law. "But…..how? It's only been six months. That's too early!" He saw Eden grip her belly tightly as he cradled her in his arms, holding her close. He realized that she was drenched in sweat. How was that possible? She was only left alone for less than twenty minutes!

"Babies come when they are ready to come, my dear Gabriel. Now, I need you to remain calm. Not for my sake but for your wife's. Now, Eden, I felt your contractions. They were quite close together. In order for me to be sure what's going on, can I examine you?"

Eden managed a nod and Aziraphale removed her pants and after a couple of moments, Aziraphale draped a blanket over Eden's waist.

"You're eight centimeters dilated but your water hasn't broken,  obviously. I'm going to contact your father and tell him to come back so he can assist us. I'll be right back you two. Remember to breathe Little One." Aziraphale kissed Eden’s sweating forehead and then he darted out of the back room.

"Gabriel you're shaking….." Eden rasped. The contraction had passed and she relaxed against her husband’s warm chest, the sound of his beating heart comforting her.

"This is really happening…..and you're in pain…."

"Nothing I haven't felt before." Eden muttered. "Honestly, I'm glad that this is finally almost over. I want to meet these little buggers. I want them to meet their father."

"Well then, it's time for them to meet their mother as well."

Eden was about to say something else but she broke off with a cry of pain. Eden grabbed Gabriel's hand and squeezed it tightly.

"Oh fuck." Eden cursed.

"What's wrong?" Gabriel demanded right when Aziraphale returned with his arms filled with supplies.

"What's wrong my dears?" Aziraphale asked as he set his supplies down, to Gabriel it looked like an old wash basin with some towels and blankets.

"I think my water broke." Aziraphale peeked under the blanket. "Yes it has. Things will be escalating soon. Very soon." Gabriel squeezed Eden's hand tightly.

A few minutes went by along with several more painful contractions which were interrupted by the sound of doors being slammed open and a voice calling out, "QUEENIE! DADDY'S HERE!"
