"Agh, fuck." Eden snorted after she sneezed. She was in the middle of dusting off a bookshelf when she heard her Papa call, "Eden dear, may I have a word with you?"

"Sure Papa!"

Eden met Aziraphale at his desk and as she expected, her Papa was sitting in his chair still wearing his spectacles.

Aziraphale pointed to an empty chair next to his desk. "Please sit."

Once Eden was sitting, Aziraphale asked, "How was training this morning?"

"It went very well." Eden answered honestly. Aziraphale nodded. "Good." The angel went silent as he gazed at his daughter.

"Um, Papa?" Eden asked. Aziraphale snapped out of his daze. "Sorry Little One. I wanted to tell you that I've placed a ward over the basement door so you, or anyone, won't be able to get in and get a hold of Excalibur."

"I'd figured." Eden replied softly as Aziraphale held her face in his hands. "Your father and I miracled the training equipment into existence so you can learn to defend yourself."

"Will you teach me some of the things you learned?"

Aziraphale hesitated before answering. "I suppose. But I'm not much of a fighter….and I will only teach you how to defend yourself. Nothing more." There had been enough violence and death to last him ten eternitys…

Eden nodded. "That's all I want Papa. Thank you." Eden hugged him tightly.

Aziraphale smiled as he rasped. "My precious Little One."
