Gabriel jerked awake when he heard a scream. He turned and saw Eden, drenched in sweat.

Razor sharp fangs and claws tore at Eden's skin as she fought to get away.  She couldn't make out the shapes assaulting her nor did she care. All that mattered was getting away from whatever was chasing her.

Something grabbed her by the shoulder and before she could react,  a set of jagged claws raked across her stomach….

"Aaah!" Eden exclaimed as she jerked awake, thrashing when she felt a set of arms wrap around her.

"Let go of me!" Eden snapped, trying to squirm away but she stopped when the voice of her husband rasped, "Eden it's just me." Eden went slack instantly at the sound of her husband’s voice. "Gabriel…." Eden broke into a sob.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. I'm here." Gabriel replied comfortingly. "I'm here."

Eden glanced down at her distended belly. She pushed Gabriel away and lifted her nightgown and sighed with relief when she only saw the scar from Armageddon.

"Oh thank God….."

"Eden. You're scaring me, what's going on?" Gabriel pulled her nightgown back down and clasped her hand. "Tell me what's going on?"

"Just a bad dream." Eden muttered as she clutched her stomach. "What if we can't keep them safe?"

Gabriel blinked. "We will Eden. You mustn't think like that. The worst is behind us now. We'll keep them safe….I'll keep them safe….and you as well……" The Archangel rubbed her stomach reassuringly. "No one is ever going to hurt you ever again, and if anyone ever attempts to hurt our children I'll-"

"Oh!" Eden gasped right when Gabriel felt something push against his hand. "What the hell?!"

Eden suddenly smiled as fresh tears stung her eyes. "That was a kick."

"R-Really?" Gabriel's voice cracked as he stuttered. "Was that what that was?"

They waited for a moment until another kick was felt. "Yep. Definitely a kick."

"I love you." Gabriel rasped as he wrapped his arms around Eden, tears of joy streaming down their faces
