i fell asleep with pillows surrounding me,
almost comforting
like it was cradling me to sleep
but when i unlocked my eyes from complete darkness,
instead of pillows i was surrounded by fields of flowers and grass
with a beautiful river
that showed of birds who took swift sips of the alluring water
the sky was bright, with hardly any clouds
and a sun that shined down,
feeding the fields of flowers for miles
peaceful and calm
so i walk towards the clear waters
until i can't breathe
violently holding onto my neck i plunge into the river
but instead of soft fishes and cute turtles,
there were razor sharp creatures
and vines that seemed alive
and i just couldn't seem to stay above to water
until the vine grabbed my ankle
and pulled me into the river's abyss

life was silent
no one was awake
except for the moon that gave me weird stares
i couldn't see much in the pitch dark,
only mismatch pillows and comforters
and the pitch black shadow of amitola underneath the moon's lighting
all i could do was let my eyes become rivers in silence
only letting a sniffle out once or twice
but of course i couldn't do that either
waking up the one person i truly tried and dared not to
amitola rubbed her eyes slowly,
grasping her vision of me soaked up in tears
"What happened?" she whispered in a concerned nature
"I don't even know..", i covered my eyes, "I just had a dream that wasn't even that scary,"
"Bestie cuddles are always free.." she smiled warmly
i just let it happen
knowing that the deeper i go, the more it's going to hurt later
the stinging in my eyes
made it clear that i just needed a hug,
so i closed my eyes and let my face dwindle into her soft skin
thinking tomorrow was going to be shit
