it's been a month since i've known her
her name is amitola and she's a month older then me
her hair is so long and curly
and she's been my best friend since
making my life better
each day
as my mother and father make it worse
————————————-————————————-————————————-————————————-
amitola has invited me over for a sleepover
so i brush my hair up nicely,
and put on cute chapstick that makes my lips taste like peach
is it wrong to look good for my best friend?
i sit 2 eggos on the front of the freezer and leave the butter holder on the counter
i place a note on the counter to suggest that my mother makes eggos with butter for breakfast
i explain that i was going on a sleepover,
because she was still at work and probably wouldn't socialize until she was hungry,
which i had no time for
i forgot that i had bought a cute new pj set for this day!
i opened the bag filled with a cute silk pajamas set
it was fully pink,
with white bunnies!
————————————-————————————-————————————-————————————-
it was 8:30 on my phone when i saw her tanned house in front of my eyes
i knocked on the door,
primping my hair and fixing the lopsided part of the shirt
it was just her mother..
"Hi, Alice!" She smiled, " If you're here for the sleepover, their in the basement,"
i smiled, waving my hands in a friendly motion
who was they?
i walked down the mysterious steps to the basement i had never seen
to see a whole bunch of girls laying on blankets and pillows reading comics and watching tv
"Finally!" Amitola jumped up, latching her arm onto mine, "This is my friend, Alice!" I smiled
"Oh and here's Layla, Jia, Zuri and Elena!" she sat me down on a blanket with her
for some reason i blushed just a little
