“Congrats, girls!”

My heart almost skipped a beat when a famoua disbanded girl band, greeted us personally after winning in a contest named Battle of the Bands just tonight.

“Marami pong salamat!”

“Congratulations din sa inyo individually. You girls are working so hard, ang dami niyong napapagsabay-sabay like trabaho, gigs, competitions, family, me time and also with you special someone. Salute to Sansinukob!”

That was one of my most memorable night, for us, Sansinukob. We barely had an interaction with these former members since matagal na rin silang wala sa industriya para sa sari-sariling buhay.

“Ang galing naman ng Stacey ko na ‘yan,”

He encircled his arms on my waist and gave me a warm hug. Narito pa kami at nakikihalubilo sa mga tao pero hindi niya alintana ang mga nakamasid sa amin.

I pouted and hide my face in his neck. “Sayang talaga kayo...” I whispered.

He caressed my back and kissed my forehead.

Fever disbanded just a few months ago after Atlas’ and a girl’s issue. Halos nasira na rin talaga ang imahe ng banda dahil sa isyu na kumalat sa internet na ilang araw o linggong pinagpiyestahan ng lahat.

Everyone agreed on their leader and founder’s decision. Since they are already graduated and will start working soon, naisip nilang hindi na matututukan ang banda kaya tuluyan nang binuwag.

“Atlas made the right decision, love. It’s getting harder and harder for us na rin naman.” He reasoned out.

I tilted my head a little. “And y’all can’t fix it anymore?”

“Shakie’s out of the country already, Martin is working in Atlas’ former girl’s Dad’s company, habang siya... hinahanap pa rin ang sarili.”

I looked up to him. “At ikaw?”

He smiled sweetly as he planted a kiss on my lips. I heard some gasps and yelled but we ignored it like we heard nothing.

“Mayroon na akong ikaw, kumpleto at kuntento na ako.”
