Everyone cheers. And though the loud noise hurts Ally's head, she doesn't care.

As the crowd celebrates, Snyder and two policemen pull up in a paddy wagon. Ally quickly notices.

"Jack! Jack! Its the bulls! Run Jack! Run!" She shrieks.

"Hide Jack!" Skittery shouts, shoving Jack behind him.

"Run!" Kid Blink yells.

"Jack, it's over. No, no. You don't have to run. Not anymore. Not from the likes of him. Come on, Come on." Denton says, stopping Jack from running.

A cop opens the paddy wagon, and boys from the refuge hop out into the crowd. The last one to hop out is none other than everyone's favorite newsie.

"CRUTCHY!" Ally yells as happy tears cloud her eyes.

She runs over to her friend and throws herself onto him in a hug.

"Hey Al." Crutchy says, closing his eyes and smiling.

Ally and Crutchy make their way to where the newsies are. Everyone greets Crutchy with happiness.

"Good to have ya back, Crutch!" Jack says, smiling.

Everyone cheers as Snyder is taken away to jail in the paddy wagon.

"Oh, Jack, you ought tah seen it! He comes stormin' into the Refuge waving his walking stick like a sword and he's leading in this army of lawyers and cops." Crutchy says.

"Who comes stormin' in?" Jack asks.

"You know, your friend. Him! Teddy Roosevelt!" Crutchy responds, pointing to where Teddy Roosevelt is sitting in his carriage, greeting the work kids.

The newsies are amazed.

Jack and Denton walk up to Roosevelt's carriage and greet him. The governor agrees to take Jack to the trainyards so he can get on a train to Santa Fe. Jack hops into the carriage and waves at everyone as the carriage pulls away.

The work kids follow the carriage as it leaves.

Ally, Davey, Sarah, and Les stand off to the side near the building. Ally lays her head on Davey's shoulder with tears in her eyes. She can't tell if she's sad to see jack leave, or happy that he gets to follow his dream. She takes Sarah's hand and squeezes it, knowing that Sarah is hurt that Jack was leaving after kind of starting a relationship with her. Les sniffles while he watches his mentor leave.

The circulation bell starts ringing, signifying that it's time to start selling. Ally sees the other newsies standing at a lamp post. She kisses Davey's cheek and walks over to stand by them.

"Try Bottle Alley or the harbor." Mush sings.

"Try Central Park, it's guaranteed." sings Racetrack.

"Try any banker, bum or barber." Crutchy sings, putting his arm around Ally once she walks over.

"They almost all knows how tah read." Ally continues.

"Summer stinks." Boots sings.

The newsies make their way into the Distribution center, which is now being run by someone who is not Wiesel.

"And winter's waiting." sings Skittery.

"Welcome to New York." sing Specs, Bumlets, and Snipeshooter.

"Boy ain't nature fascinating." sing Snoddy, Pie Eater, Swifty, Itey, and Jake.

"When youse gotta walk." Everyone sings.

While they line up, Ally grabs Davey's hand and pushes him to be first to get his papes.

Davey smiles at her and slams a coin down.

"Hundred papes." he says, earning a kiss on the cheek from his girlfriend, and a bunch of pats on the back from the other newsies.

Suddenly, they hear cheering from the work kids. Roosevelt's carriage pulls into the Distribution center. Jack shakes the governor's hand and climbs out.

"It's Jack!" Les yells.

"He's back!" Mush exclaims.

"Davey, he's back!" Ally smiles at her boyfriend.

Jack gives Les his cowboy hat to wear. Les happily puts it on and gives Jack a huge hug.

"So, how's the headline today?" Jack asks Davey.

Ally looks up at Davey, wondering what he's gonna say.

Davey takes Ally's hat out of his pocket. He smiles at her and puts it on.

"Headlines don't sell papes, newsies sell papes." Davey says the newsie motto. Becoming a true newsie.

Ally leaps onto Davey and kisses him. He happily returns it.

"Come here, Davey." says Jack, smiling at his two friends.

Davey and Ally walk towards Jack. Jack spits into his hand and holds it out to Davey. Davey spits into his own hand and shakes Jack's.

Sarah makes her way through the crowd of newsies and pulls Jack into their first kiss. Everyone cheers as the Manhattan leader kisses his girl. Les interrupts their kiss by hugging both Sarah and Jack, who laugh and hug him back. Jack pulls Davey into the hug, and Sarah pulls Ally into the hug. Everyone laughs as all the newsies join the huge group hug.

Ally, Davey, Jack, Sarah, and Les make their way to the front of the group and walk out of the distribution center. Les runs forward with his sword. Davey puts his arm around Ally's waist and Jack puts his around Sarah's.

Ally thinks about how lucky she is to have her friends and Davey. She can't wait to see what the future holds.
