Ally's Story: A Newsie's OC

Tearing Papes

The newsies who are a part of the rally wait near where scabs (newsies who aren't joining the rally) leave after getting their papes.

Most of the boys join the lodging house newsies immediately. Not wanting to get soaked. But one doesn't want to join, he tries to get by the group, but can't. His stack of papes get hit out of his hand by Jack. The scab pretends to bend down to pick up his papes, before reeling back and attempting to punch Jack in the face. Jack swiftly avoids it, and the newsies on strike begin to soak the scabs.

The scabs eventually run away, and in their victory, the newsies begin to tear up papers, push delivery carts, and destroy the area outside of Weasel's factory.

The cops end up showing up. Blowing their whistles as they approach.

"Cheese it! Cheese it, it's the bulls!" Jack yells, taking off running.

David grabs Les and Ally's hands and makes a beeline for the gate. Followed by the rest of the newsies. All except Crutchy. Who is having too much fun to notice.

"Crutchy!" Racetrack yells as he flees, "Scram! Scram!"

Crutchy finally notices, grabs his crutch, and begins to leave. The gate is blocked by the police. Crutchy scrambles backwards and turns around. Only to find the Delancey Brothers. They knock his crutch aside and drag him away. 

Meanwhile, the police, who had been watching all of this, did nothing. Denton, who was outside the gate, is appalled by the police's behavior, or lack thereof.
