It has been a week since renjun is introduced to his lovers' parents, and he would say that their faces after that makes him feel more... Not good.
Mark's parents shown a little to no reaction while getting introduced to them and Donghyuck's were pretty much the same thing, the adult people didn't said anything particularly bad about their relationship set-up however, the heavy silence in the air is already enough on what the lee's think about him.
~flashback~
"Moms, Dads... this is our boyfriend, renjun." the oldest of them said, taking a glance at the chinese male with a smile on his face, though deep inside he felt worried looking at how scared renjun is just by looking at their faces
Renjun quickly change his expression from scared to smiling as he looked at the adults with a warm smile "Hi, I'm huang renjun! Nice to meet you uncles and aunties..." he said in a cheerful manner, trying his best not to stutter right in front of the parents, this is the thing he's most terrified of when he met his lovers' parents
Mrs. Lee, the tanned male's mother, stare at him from up to down wearing blank expression on her face, it makes them uncomfortable not only the chinese male, but the husbands as well.
"Mom, stop staring at renjun like that, you're making him uncomfortable!" donghyuck nags earning a raised brows from the woman
"What? I'm just examining him!" mrs. lee said in her defense then divert her attention to renjun "So... Where are you from, renjun?" she asked
Renjun had to blink his eyes for a few times before speaking "Uhmmmm, I'm from jilin in china, auntie..." he answered fidgeting his fingers underneath the table
"Is your parents fine with you being in a relationship with people who are already married?" the canadian male's mother asked, raising her brows as well but in a more subtle way
"Y-Yes auntie, my mom and dad had already meet them in call..."
"They didn't go against it or something?" donghyuck's father was the one who asked
"N-No uncle... But my dad questioned it a bit..."
Mark's father let out a long sigh as he glance at the chinese male who could barely look at them "Really? I would've reacted the same if it was me..."
"DAD!" mark throw an almost glare at the man and rolled his eyes as mr. lee raise both of his hands like he is a criminal surrendering to the police
"I'm just saying... Okay? I'm not saying anything bad about it!"
The husbands took their lover's hand and squeeze them looking at how tense and scared renjun is while answering their questions.
It is not a particularly hard question to answer, but the passive-agressive way of them asking it, is just giving renjun a hard time to loosen up.
~end of flashback~
Not really a 'no reaction' but rather a more subtle one, their words are more on the passive-agressive side just like how he feel while talking to them.
They're not saying that 'you don't belong to them, they're already perfect together' in his face but the way they acted was.
It would be a huge lie if he said that donghyuck and mark's parents indirectly hating him being a part of their already established relationship does not affect him at all even after being comforted when they got home, in fact, the thoughts about them hating him didn't left his mind.
