The Senses

Chapter 0 - Prologue

Happiness is something that they sought and yet it always seemed to slip through their fingers. It's something that we all want. However, it is intertwined with trials for one can never appreciate it without the hardships.

This was something that I have always believed. Yet whenever I remember what happened, all the things that have transpired, I find myself doubting. Why did it ever happen? Perhaps it was fate but such an explanation left a bitter taste within me.

As I looked at the dark surroundings outside my window, softly enveloped in the silver light of the moon, I find myself shivering, missing the laughter that once emanated in my life. With a solemn look, I gazed at the books surrounding me and, with newfound determination, I grabbed my pen and watched as its ink embraced the paper.

I have watched and observed. I have seen what had happened. I know everything there was to know, for that was my role. I will not let their story dissipate. It may be a thing of fiction for the masses but I want to share it nonetheless.

This was a heartwarming story of friendship bound by a mystical fate. Something that they did not see coming, a destiny that would be a turning point in their lives. It was for a short time but the bonds that they have developed was not a flimsy excuse of a relationship.

I breathed deeply and began to write the first words.

This was a tale of an adventure with an unexpected destination. A story of the things that they have gained, things that they have lost, the time of their happiness as well as the downfall of such emotions. It is a story that brought a great change, not only to their lives but to the world as well.

This was the tale of the Senses.
