The OVP was abuzz.

Half of the personnel were packing upstairs, others were preparing for the oathtaking about to take place. It was going to be a historical moment for everyone. The symbol of the opposition would be passing the torch to the only opposition who made it to the senate. It still hurt them deeply but today called for a celebration.

Risa arrived at the OVP, a smile on her face as she had once again stepped foot inside the place that held so many memories for her and for Leni. Some of those memories may have been not as good as the others, but she treated the OVP as the place that held their love — all the ups and downs of it.

Earlier that week, she received a message from her staff, apologizing because someone wanted to conduct their oath taking on the same day. Of all the days na pwede kang mag-oath taking, sasabay ka pa talaga sa'kin? Risa thought in annoyance.

But obviously, since they had a long-running history of being on Leni's team, she understood why he also wanted to take his oath with the outgoing Vice President. Risa just didn't like that they had to see each other again. Although they ended on good terms, even better than how Risa initially expected their breakup would go, she still would rather not interact with her ex-boyfriend again. Especially since they didn't need to work with each other for the campaign anymore.

Ano pa bang magagawa ko, eh andyan na 'yan, Risa sighed. She replied to her staff saying that it was okay. None of them had control over that anyways.

She received a message from Leni that night. The older woman was profusely apologizing that they had to do the oath taking on the same day. "Siksik na 'yung sched sa office kaya nagsabi sila na sabay na lang. Sorry talaga, Ris. I hope you understand."

"It's okay, Leni. It's not a problem naman."

"Bawi ako sa'yo, sorry talaga."

Risa smiled at that. Leni would make it up to her so why else would she need to complain?

The re-elected senator made her way inside the office, greeting everyone courteously. Familiar faces in such a familiar setting made her chest feel warm. "Ma'am Risa, namiss ka namin," one of the caretakers hugged her.

"Namiss ko rin po kayo," she laughed and continued catching up with the rest of the people there.

When everything was finally settled and the oath taking can finally commence, she was led to the center of the ground floor where the OVP seal stood out. She saw Leni, clad in pink, sitting at one of the chairs.

Everything else seemed to move out of focus. This was the first time she's seeing her again after their post-elections meeting where Leni kissed her forehead, and after Leni's New York trip where they said they missed each other.

She giggled internally at the memory of her laying in bed that night. She was blushing like she's never blushed before because god forbid, Leni always knew how to make her into this blubbering mess.

"Ang ganda ganda mo naman."

And Risa felt her knees go weak at the compliment, unable to stop the grin forming on her face. Leni apologized for wearing such a color that made her stand out a lot more than she intended to. Risa laughed and showed her the pink leather band and the inner fabric of her outfit which was rose gold so it wasn't really a problem. "May touch of pink din naman ako."

Leni stood up and moved for a quick beso, which Risa returned gracefully.

She didn't even notice that Lucas was beside Leni that whole time. He stood up to greet her with a cheek to cheek kiss too and Risa had no choice but to return his gesture. Cameras were present and it would be very awkward for everyone if she didn't.
