If you asked Steve what's A few thing's he notices every time he sees Robin one thing that always will come up are those red converse with those stupid doodles all over them.
Robin has been dating Nancy for a year now. Her and Steve was talk about something to get there lover. One thing Nancy and Eddie have in common is they NEVER say they want something, and in this case, that is annoying because they had 0 idea of what they could get them.
But the reason they don't tell people is different Nancy didn't tell because she didn't want people spending money on her when she has already got so much, meanwhile Eddie doesn't because he grew up to poor to get anything he wanted, he didn't ask because the answer when he was younger was always “no” “we can't afford it” or them gambling with him to get a cheaper advantage that could give everyone a peace of it. Eddie just had the mindset that it was always no so he gave up on asking
while Steve was still thinking Robin was looking down at her feet trying to think of what she could get Nancy. That's when a idea finally came through.
She asked Steve if she could get off early. He didn't question it and let her go, she deserved to be let off early she always said yes when he wanted to get off early to go do stuff with Eddie. She didn't have a car, or a driver's license so she ran Steve was her ride there so she couldn't really ask him to close up the shop to drive her to the mall.
When she finally got there she was breathing so hard you would think it was gonna be her last. She ran in the mall to find the store she was looking for. She found it and ran in. She went in to search for a pear that screamed *!!Nancy wheeler!!*
Robin was getting hopeless nothing made her think of Nancy she was about to walk out when a pear of navy blue converse got her eye.
When Robin walked over to them they turned out to be more of a cyan but still made Robin think of the girl she loved so much.
She bought them and ran home making sure to protect the box that the shoes came in. She took them out to get a second look.
They sat there in Robin's hands and something in Robins head was getting ideas she was going to fight those thoughts off because these shoes weren't for her, but if you know Robin you know nothing she touches will stay plain they will have drawings all over them.
So with that Robin ran to her room grabbed her sharpies and other markers and ran back throwing them on the kitchen counter she was a girl ready to get to work.
she drew little stars and wrote little movie quotes that she knew Nancy liked. When she was done with them they had stars drawings of girls and other little things.
Robin was looking over them when she realized she wrote “Nancy Buckley” on the back of the shoes
“oh my god I am a literal idiot! How do I cover this up! I was so out of my mind that I didn't even notice I wrote that. Robin Buckley you are officially the dumbest person on the planet! ” Robin said to herself
She took a peace of fabric and tried to cover it up she got it on after like an hour. she put the shoes in a decorated box and ran out of the door and off to Nancy's house.
Robin knocked on the front door and waited for an answer. The door opened and she saw Mike and will looking like they where about to leave themselves “Hello, Robin come in Nancy was just about to call to see of you could come over. Thank God your here so she can shut up about you to us.” “Hey! Shut up! You can't keep anything a secret, huh!?” Nancy said turning a shade of red.
Robin laughed “I'm a well talked topic over here huh?” Robin said still laughing. Nancy looked as she could blow up, will was on the floor laughing his ass off. Nancy pushed Mike and he fell to the floor on top of will “what if we make a deal Mike? you shut up about will I shit up about Robin?”
Mike and Will stopped laughing. Mike started rambling to Will how Nancy was a liar and he never does that. Will obviously didn't believe Mike but he found it adorable how much effort he was taking to cover up the truth. mike grabbed Will's wrist and ran out “Screw you Nancy!” Mike screamed from outside
“Sorry about that.” Nancy grabbed Robin by her waist and pulled her into a short bit loving kiss.
“Oh um, I got t-this for you!” Robin said scared for Nancy's reaction “You shouldn't have!” Nancy said becoming red again and smiling wide.
Nancy opened the box to see a pear of shoes that you couldn't tell if it was a dark cyan or navy blue. she looked at them like Jesus came down and gave the converse to her. No one has ever went so out of there way to give Nancy something with so much creativity. Nancy hugged Robin so hard she could pop.
Nancy was kissing Robin all over her face, robin giggling like a 5 yr old. “Thank you, thank you, thank you! ” Nancy was over the moon

Robin fell asleep in Nancy's bed. Nancy was still looking at the doodle covered converse. She picked them up and looked at them more. That's when she saw the fabric that was coming off.
She picked at it when it finally came off she was welcomed to the words: “Nancy Buckley” on them. Nancy looked at it with pure love. she was smiling and crying. Robin woke up to the sound of her girlfriends sniffles.
“oh shit! Are you ok dear what happened-?” Robin said seeing what Nancy was looking at.
Robin looked terrified. She didn't see Nancy's face yet so she was thinking she was crying because she made her uncomfortable or something. But what Nancy said next made Robin's thoughts wrong.
“Aw! that's so adorable! why did you cover it up!” Nancy said looking at Robin tears streaming down her face. Nancy kissed Robin on the lips they stayed like that for a minute them pulled away getting there breath back.
Nancy looked robin in the eye and said “So I guess this means on or wedding day I take your last name huh?” Robin turned 5 different shades of red “Guaranteed soul mates?” Nancy said in teasing tone “I-I just wrote that without thinking ” Robin said trying to assure that it wasn't something weird “so its implemented in your head that ill one day be 'Nancy Buckley'?” Nancy was more happy then she has ever been before.
Nancy pushed Robin on the bed and kissed her.
Lets just say that “activitys” happened.
After that day every time Nancy would have a pear of shoes on it would be those blue converse standing next to Robin's red converse.
Those blue shoes guaranteed that they where together forever. That they where the ones for each other.
