After pulling away last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Erie to finish the weekend series with Mercyhurst in weekend series finale tonight. With 12:38 left in the first period, Sebastian Weberg scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. With 10:14 left in the first period, Zach Todd scored to tie the game 1-1. With 9:09 left in the first period, Kane Elliott scored to make it 2-1 Lakers. With 7:01 left in the first period, Derek Freeman scored his second goal of the season to tie the game 2-2. With 6:35 left in the first period, Wes Baker scored to make it 3-2 Mercyhurst. With 1:55 left in the first period, Mike Borkowski scored his first goal of the season to tie the game 3-3. Charlie Finn and Brandon Wildung matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, we'll skate to a 3-3,first intermission tie. With 14:11 left in the second period, Bryan Sienerth scored to make it 4-3 Mercyhurst. Coach Vaughan pulled Charlie Finn out of the net and so, Zac Hamilton filled in for the rest of the game. With 12:20 left in the second period, Taylor Best scored to make it 5-3 Lakers. With 1:22 left in the second period, Kane Elliott scored to make it 6-3 Mercyhurst. Hamilton and Wildung matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 6-3 Lakers it remains heading to the third period. With 11:55 left in the third period, Phillipe Drouin scored to make it 7-3 Mercyhurst. With 5:04 left in the third period, Mike Borkowski scored his second goal of the game to make it 7-4 Lakers. With 3:47 left in the third period, Derek Freeman scored his third goal of the season to make it 7-5 Mercyhurst. With 2:17 left in the third period, Mike Borkowski scored his third goal of the game, hat trick to make it 7-6 Lakers. With 1:44 left in the third period, Brett Corkey scored his first goal of the season to tie the game 7-7. With 1:17 left in the third period, Jonathan Charbonneau scored to make it 8-7 Mercyhurst. With 31 seconds left in the third period, Josh Lammon scored to make it 9-7 Lakers. Spencer Bacon finished off the Raiders and Mercyhurst wins 9-7. Colgate dropped to 1-1-0 on the season.
