This is it, the final game at Starr Rink. If I told you I'm not shedding a few tears right now I'd go to hell for lying. But let's not get sappy yet because we have one last game to play on this glorious sheet of ice. With 16:19 left in the first period, Tyson Spink scored his thirteenth goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. With 13:17 left in the first period, Sebastian Vidmar scored to tie the game 1-1. Charlie Finn and Jake Kupsky matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, we'll play to an 1-1,first intermission tie. With 3:32 left in the second period, Jake Kulevich scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 2-1 Raiders! Charlie Finn finished off the Dutchmen and Starr Rink is sent off into the sunset with a 2-1 Colgate win! Colgate finished the season with a record of 10-22-2 and 6-14-2 in ECAC Hockey play!
Author's Note: By some miracle, I was able to celebrate this final game at Starr Rink with an announcement that the readers of Keep Fighting might know something about. I was a cancer patient at the time of this very emotional game and my Make A Wish wish was announced at the final game at Starr Rink which was the best announcement place I could ever imagine. I'll never forget pumping up the Starr Rink crowd during the second intermission of this game right here which was a dream come true just to touch the ice at Starr Rink. But enough sappy stuff, let's get to the next game and of course, go Raiders!!!
