After a horrific loss last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink to play the Providence Friars on Halloween night. With 8:57 left in the first period, Nick Saracino scored to make it 1-0 for the defending national champions. With 4:53 left in the first period, Evan Peterson scored his second goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Charlie Finn and Hayden Hawkey matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 1-1 we stand after a period of play. With 14:47 left in the second period, Garrett Gamez scored to make it 2-1 Providence. With 7:10 left in the second period, Jake Walman scored to make it 3-1 Friars. With 5:11 left in the second period, Darcy Murphy scored his second goal of the season to make it 3-2 for the defending national champions. Finn and Hawkey matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 3-2 Providence it remains heading to the second intermission dressing rooms. With 16:05 left in the third period, Nick Saracino scored to make it 4-2 Friars. With 15:15 left in the third period, Tylor Spink scored his third goal of the season to make it 4-3 Providence. Hayden Hawkey finished off the Raiders and the defending national champions sweep the weekend by a score of 4-3. Colgate dropped to 3-4-0 on the season.
