Epilogue

Carson scanned her closet to find a perfect dress but there's nothing in it. She was wondering what the hell was she doing all these years, that there's no decent dress in her closet. Panay casual ang lahat ng iyon at walang babagay sa party ni Nay Kamil at Tay Jeron.

Then she realized, she can't even remember when was the last time she went out and just have a freakin' good time. Maybe because she was so busy mending her heart and focus on healing, hoping that the faster she forgot the pain, the faster she could go back to her husband. Sadly, wala naman pala siyang babalikan. Kung naisip niya lang sana na dapat, sabay silang naghilom ni CJ, siguro mas may pag-asang magka-ayos silang dalawa.

Speaking of her soon to be ex-husband, he knocked on the door before he entered the room. He was all smiles at her with a paper bag in his hand. May tatak na Chanel iyon.

"Ate Cassiel told me to give you this." Ibinaba nito iyon sa kama. "You can wear it later at the party."

"Thanks." She smiled a little. Naupo siya sa kama bago pinakatitigan si CJ. "Can we talk?"

Bahagya itong natigilan pero tumango din kapag kuwan.

"Are you leaving?" Hirap man, nagawa niyang itanong.

Even things are uncomfortable ang awkward between the two of them, she can't deny that she likes his presence. It's like a little extension before they officially end up their marriage. Masakit man iyon, alam niyang maghihiwalay at maghihiwalay sila ng landas dahil iyon ang gustong mangyari ni CJ, and to be honest, she can't blame him. She didn't deserved him at all.

"I mean, I have to go back to work in two days, and you said that we could talk about the annulment by then. If that's what you really want to happen, I can't see any reason to postpone it." She said fidgetting her fingers. She can't even look at him in the eye because she knows that if she does, she won't find the courage to finally end things up.

To her surprise, CJ kneeled in front of her and held her hands, there's a comforting smile in his face, as if telling her that everything's going to be okay.

"Put on the dress, sweetheart. We'll talk later." Then he kissed her in the forehead and stormed off the room.

CJ left her hot an bothered. Suddenly, her hopes was up all over again and she knows it could be a lethal thing. She decided that it should be over before the day ends. CJ can't give her mixed signals anymore, she wants clear answers.

She took her sweet time taking a shower, fixing her make up and dress up for the event. Kung siya lang ay hindi siya pupunta dahil pang pamilya lang naman ang event na iyon. She will be CJ's ex-wife in six months and getting attached to that wonderful family would just be a pure torture. Aside from she's gonna lose CJ, it was also hard to accept the fact that she had to cut lose all the ties that she have with his family because they are nothing but wonderful to her and her parents.

Nakahanda na ang lahat ng bumaba siya. Nakabihis na ang mga magulang niya at siya na lang ang hinihintay. Mahigpit na bilin ni 'Nay Kamil na 'wag mawawala ang mga ito sa gabing iyon.

CJ looked at her like she was the most beautiful girl in the world and her heart was overwhelmed. He always left her hot and bothered everytime he looked at her like that. Hindi iilang beses na nahuhuli niya itong nakatitig sa kaniya, at sa lahat ng iyon, nasa mga mata ni CJ ang paghanga.

"You look so beautiful." He complemented her, not minding the presence of her parents. Carson blushed and of course Percy was there to make things awkward.

"Haba ng hair!" Kantiyaw nito na tinawanan lang ni CJ.

She hopped inside CJ's car because her father told her to. Wala siyang nagawa ng ipilit ng mga itong kay CJ siya sumabay dahil wala raw itong kasama sa sasakyan. She told Percy to come with him instead but the mama's boy said that he can't be away from their mom even for just a few minutes. Tinawanan lang ito ng nanay niya at sinabihan siyang sumabay na sa asawa.
