Chapter Five

It's past twelve midnight when Carson get up from the bed and turn on her laptop. She needed a good movie to distract her from thinking about the stuation she was in.

She put CJ into trouble, she knew that. Her father's wrath pushed her to spill the beans but the words came from her mouth put CJ at stake. It wasn't rape. She clicked on Netflix and browse the movie selection to pick what to watch when her windows opened.

CJ settled himself in the pink bean bag while she sit on the carpeted floor parallel to him. He handed her a cup and didn't said anything at all.

Parang ang haba haba ng oras, nakakabingi ang katahimikan pero wala sa kanila ang may gustong bumasag noon. They just quietly sipped their drink and let themselves drown in silence.

"You're watching a movie?" Tanong ni CJ ng dumako ang tingin nito sa laptop niya.

"I can't sleep."

"It's fine. Stop crying." CJ enveloped her in his arms. Kinuha siya nito para paupuin sa mga hita bago siya niyakap at hinaplos haplos. She had always loved the security and warmth on his comfort.

"Ayaw kong magpakasal." Maya maya ay sabi nito ng kalmado na siya. "I'm not ready for it, and I'm sure you too. But I can't say no to my mom. I'm done breaking her heart, Carson." CJ said softly. She was crying again. She felt horrible for causing CJ so much pain.

"Shh-- hush now, baby. Stop crying." He wiped her tears and kissed it away. "But if you want out, just tell me. I'll help you leave, I'll set you free. I'm sorry for causing you trouble." Umiling siya. She cupped his face and kissed him. If only her kisses could take the sadness away.

"I'm with you." She whispered. "Let's stick by making each other happy, remember?" CJ nodded. He kissed her and giggled.

"Now, care for a movie?"

They picked On Vodka, Beers and Regrets. Just a random pick since it's on top trending.

She's satisfied with the movie while CJ said it's fine. She only laugh because she knew that he's not fond of tagalog movies.

"You know, I hope every girl in the world finds their own Francis." Sabi niya habang nagliligpit ng laptop pati na ng baso na pinag inuman nila. She throw the cups on the trash can and lay down beside CJ who's now playing on his phone.

"Francis?" Kunot na kunot ang noo nito. Sinamaan niya ito ng tingin, there he gets it that she's pertaining to the movie character. "Ah si JC Santos." Then he put his attention back on his phone, she could hear "welcome to Mobile Legends." on the background.

"May CJ ka na maghahanap ka pa ng Francis?"

"Yeah. Francis is an ideal, he doesn't exist." She said while yawning.

"What's with Francis?" He kept on tapping im his phone but at least he's listening. She smiled on that realization.

"Because Francis kept on choosing Jane. No matter how dark her past is. He saw the real her behind that bad attitude. He loved her more in those times when everything is fucked up. Sana lahat ng babae makahanap ng sarili nilang Francis. Iyong lagi kang pipiliin kahit sa mga panahong hindi ka na kapili-pili." She sighed, only then she noticed that CJ stopped playing and just intently looking at her.

"Why?"

CJ didn't said anything and kissed her. She responded in the same sweet manner.

"Then I'll promise to be your Francis." He whispered between his kisses. Carson only nodded.
