Happy Valentine's Day

I'm so fucking nervous. I couldn't even sleep last night. Usually if I can't sleep, I'd just take some sleep pills but I can't do that anymore. I eventually I did go to sleep.

Weirdly enough yet romantic, I woke up to a bouquet of flowers, a love note and Daylight Donuts goodies. 2 glazed twists donuts, 3 jalapeño sausage rolls, a cinnamon roll and two orange juices. My usual order, he remembered.

I'm fat, I know but my excuse now, I'm feeding for 2 now gone bout yo business.

I went and did my usual morning routine. Throw up, take a shower, brush my teeth and washed my face. I put on a robe and I ate my food. Usually, I save a sausage roll and cinnamon roll for later but I ate all of it, no problem. I was gonna text Kendrick but I thought I'd read his love note first.

His handwriting is so sloppy but I prefer this over something typed out or written for him.

'Kay, I could be corny as hell and write you a poem or a song but naw. I'm just gonna be dead straight with you because I know you like simplicity and it's easy to impress you which I appreciate. First off, I'm madly in love with you. I've always had feelings for you before but this last year with you has been a dream come true. Literally though because I've always had a crush on you but yeah. I know we've only been together almost a year now but it feels like a lifetime already. He responded almost immediately,' Can't wait 😘😘😘😘'

I've been laying in bed, just thinking the day away. Gianna came to say bye to me before heading to school but other than that, I haven't been bothered. The last couple of days, I did some clients' hair for Valentine's Day. I wanted to do the services at the salon but Tasha basically said it was a no-go because it's still a surprise.

A month from today actually, is the grand opening for my salon! I'm so excited!

But anyways, I got Kendrick's presents together and ready to go. Today, I'm gonna reveal to him that I'm pregnant. I'm 9 weeks now. Still, nobody knows.

Tasha keeps says her auntie radar is going off but she'll have to wait just like everyone else. Kendrick gets first dibs of knowing. Plus, it's too early to let anyone else know really.

My OBGYN had told me that it's common for mothers, especially first time mothers, to suffer miscarriages in the first trimester. My anxiety went through the roof with that info but she reassured me that the baby and I was fine and everything is going well. It just would be wise to wait to tell others until I'm in my second trimester or close to it.
