Something very exciting is coming soon! I shall keep it a secret for now, though!

Also, uh, I started not feeling so good halfway through editing this. If there's a drop in quality as a result, I apologize.

It was evening when the two Watchers arrived at a village. Xelqua could tell immediately by the overly simplistic structures and arbitrary design, it was naturally generated, not occupied by actual people. He could tell hardly without looking, simply because one house was cut off from the rest, on the opposite side of a ravine. The path to get to it did not connect, having generated far below, cut into pieces by the rocky cliff.

"We should rest there tonight." He decided for the other.

"We can keep going for awhile." Miesall argued as he reached a road heading into the village. The strange sensation from the day prior — tiredness, it was named— was back, but to a lesser extent this time. The other sensation, hunger, had also begun to emerge.

"Mobs will start spawning soon. This place is well protected and well lit. We can claim a house as our own, so we can be a bit more comfortable than we were last night." Xelqua reasoned. The village had a very faint glow to it, displaying the torches it had scattered about. That along with the orange sky marked as a warning to seek shelter. "Plus, didn't you agree to try to enjoy yourself?"

Oh... right. Miesall sighed, giving up. He supposed that it was alright to stop here after all. "We should try to gather supplies while we are here..?" He suggested, a question in his voice. That is what a player would do, right?

That was the spirit! Xelqua grinned, having had made some leeway with his friend. "Yeah, I'm sure there is some food around here that we can eat. Let's split up and loot the place. Whoever gets the best stuff wins!"

With that, Xelqua dashed off into the first house. It was small, only having a single bed. To be fair, he hadn't expected anything. He could already see inside of it, but he thought of it of a matter of tradition. You just had to look inside for yourself, even if you knew that type of building could not generate chests.

The next building he approached was a much larger one. It had a second story on it, and a small chest tucked in the corner. Xel walked over to it and looked inside of it. There was nothing notable inside; just a few pieces of bread, a stone sword and a few sticks. He grabbed the bread and quietly stuck it in his inventory.

He climbed up the ladder and walked out onto the balcony. At this height, a human could see the village much better. It made little difference to the Watcher, however, who could send his eyes high in the air regardless of where his body was. The feeling was a bit disappointing in that regard. He missed going into houses blind. It was like a treasure hunt, but his eyes had spoiled it for him. It was almost unfair in a way.

He wished that he and Taurtis could be searching this place together as humans. They were sure to get real competitive, and he almost wished he'd get ambushed by his friend as soon as he opened a door. Maybe down the line they would forget what they were supposed to do and just continue wrestling on the ground, their fight slowly diminishing into a giggle fest. Instead he was here alone on the balcony, overlooking the human-shaped mobs wander about with no destination in mind.

Well, not alone. He turned his attention to Miesall. He wasn't all that surprised to find him standing in the exact same spot, but the predicament he found himself in made him chuckle.

The Watcher in question flinched, his wings drawn in as much as possible. He bit his lip and hugged his sides. Walking into him repeatedly was a villager, who seemed to not be able to recognize the creature in its path.
