Xelqua and Miesall sat around in the second story of the home for an hour or two. They mostly sat in silence, recovering from the journey and long days they had of traveling.

Miesall had taken the time to meditate, but only when the other promised to keep a close eye on the village as he did so. The room was filled with a comfortable silence, similar of that of the temple. Watchers often spent days, months — even years in inactivity like this, and so the time passed as if no time at all had ever passed.

Elisha had been in the house as well, keeping an ear out for her guests. She was a girl with a very important mission that had been given to her by the town's leader himself. She figured that she would leave them alone for awhile and if they wanted to do something sneaky, like steal a cookie from the cookie jar, they would likely do it then. At least, that's what she would do if she were them and wanted to do something naughty. But alas, they didn't do anything at all.

When the sun was just touching the horizon, the music of the village drew to a close. That included Elisha herself, who had stopped coloring to look out her window. There came to be a new tune, one a bit more cheerful, more celebratory. A large, rosy grin grew on her face before she nearly began running for the ladder.

She flew up the rungs and pushed her head against the trap door to open it. "Guys! Guys! It's starting!" She sang.

Xelqua looked to her before getting up. "What's starting?" He asked as he approached the freckled elf. Just seeing her excitement began to excite him too.

"A dance!" She exclaimed. "Oh, hurry! Hurry! We're going to miss it if we stay here! Come on!" With that, she didn't even wait for a response before pushing off the ladder and jumping down.

"I'm going to go. You should too." Xel offered, extending his hand as he walked back to his friend. "Explore their culture."

Miesall fluttered his wings, muttering something with his right hand as he grabbed Xel's hand with his left. Pulling him to his feet, Xel led the leery Watcher down to the living room where Elisha was waiting with her shoes on. Xel himself slipped on his own before heading out.

The night air was cold on his skin, and the slight breeze ruffled through his feathers. Both he and Miesall found themselves opening up their wings a bit, letting the wind tickle their feathers. It wasn't as great as a feeling as flying, but it did feel nice regardless.

Elisha began to lead the two in the streets once more. As they walked, the Watchers could see the other elves finishing what they were doing and begin to head south, to where the village square was located. Each and every one walked with a pep in their step, enchanted by this new tune. Their eyes glittered in excitement, and those who wore no masks wore large grins on their faces.

Even Miesall had seemed to lighten up considerably. Whether it was because of the meditation he had done or the atmosphere, Xelqua couldn't tell, but he was glad that his friend was finally coming around.

It only took a few minutes of walking before they reached the square. It was a large, flat area that was a good fifty blocks both long and wide. In the very center of this area was a fountain, bubbling with life. Around the outsides of the square were poles, all connected to each other with garlands made of leaves and bits of glowstone. There were also floating pieces of glow stone throughout the area. Together, they gave the area light, as mystical and magical as the rest of the village. They were only just beginning to tie the scene together though, as the sun itself was still sinking into the landscape.

The elves that arrived before them had already gotten the night going. Jukeboxes were hidden around the outskirts of the area, playing a fast-paced instrumental song. People had grabbed a partner or two or even three and begun to dance along to the rhythm, almost as if they had being doing so for years and years, never once stopping. Even though each group did a different dance, the beat tied them all together, making them a single unit.
