You know, I'm kind of surprised no one asked what Salt's last words were... but uh, fun fact!: I actually used signs from ASL to describe his last words. Though he was speaking signage, not a human sign language— uh, don't think too much about it!
Void
Description: The Void is both a place and a living thing. The Watchers often throw rule breakers into it for punishment.
Legend has it that a player once entered the Void and the two fell in love with one another. A miracle transpired, allowing it to bear three children with him. As time went on, the man's short trips outside of the Void aged him and his chidden and they all passed. As it is a place outside of time, the news of its lover's death, along with any pain it ever felt is eternally fresh. Some say that's why the Void is a place of punishment; it is in so much pain that it needs to pass it along to others. Strangely enough, it also has the power to nullify a Watcher's seeing, a Listener's hearing and a Sniffer's smelling when they are trapped within.
Powers: Lives outside of time; omnipresent; cannot be heard, smelled, felt, tasted or seen. When someone is inside it, they can create powerful illusions tailored specifically to them (often for torture)
Colors: black
Lifespan: infinite
Location: everywhere (omnipresent)
Leader: Itself
Hybrids: Children of the Void or Children of Voids. They come in 3 types: Su, Ma and Suma. It is it is difficult to translate them into English, but "Su" means roughly "unable to see" or "blind" or even "causes blindness." However, to say someone is a blind Chold of Voids would imply that they themselves cannot see which is in I correct. Similarly, "Ma" loosely translated to deaf, but the word doesn't quite fit.
Su voids are invisible to a Watcher's magical sight. They can learn yo extend their influence to cover the entire world and even a few surrounding them. Similarly, Ma Voids are invisible from a Listener's magical hearing, and they can extend their void in the same way. Suma Voids have the power of both Su and Ma voids.
Extra: It's pronouns are it/void. Also, I'm not sure why, but I imagine the Void being slightly more on the feminine side though not a "she." Some Children of Voids refer to her as Mother Void.
~🌤~
Footsteps resounded in the hallway outside the door. Grian woke with a start, his breath racing in a sort of nightmare. He looked around, finding just a blank room, decorated in white stone. His table and chair the only things around, just as it should be. He snapped to attention, knowing the scene all too well. He scrambled up, dusting off his tunic.
No, there wasn't time for that. He raced to the door, knowing that it would open in three, two, one—
He didn't register what happened with his eyes, it had happened so fast. He had hugged tackled the Watcher that had come to open the door, both of them crashing onto the hard stone of the floor. He didn't care that the Watcher let out a surprise yelp, or that he was immediately shoved off with a confused and angry growl.
It was as though he were a bomb, one that was about to explode if he didn't say everything at once. "I love you too!" He yelled, signing it in big letters. He didn't care who heard or saw. This was much too important. "I— I don't know what you thanked me for! I'm the one that should be thanking you! You've taught me so much, not not mention you've been one of the best friends I've ever had!"
The Watcher was stunned in utter confusion, his stare pointed up at the human who was nearly pinning him down. "I—... what?" He asked. "Are you such a sexual being that you lust after me despite never meeting?" He asked.
