Guardians
Description: Guardians are a creature that lives in the sea. They often live in groups, each one containing a temple at the center of their cities. Similarly to Vexes, each group is apart from the others. One difference though, is that Guardians have leaders for each group, known as Elder Guardians. They reside in the temples, attended to by the lesser Guardians.
Most notably, they are able to turn any block into prismarine. This means they can either strengthen or weaken structures. In case of fighting against a Watcher's obsidian, for example, it would do them good to weaken it into prismarine. They can also give others certain status effects, most famously mining fatigue.
Powers: Fatigue/sleep/other status effects, turn things into prismarine,
Colors: Teal
Lifespan: 200 (2:1)?
Location: Ocean monuments
Leader: Elder Guardians
Hybrids: Merlings. When they are exposed to water for a continuously long time, they may grow fins, gills and other fish-like features. If they stay mostly on land, they come to look just like a human and thus it's possible that someone could think they are a human when they're actually a merling. Even if they are separated from water for their whole lives though, they often are drawn by it. Their only power is underwater breathing. Their lifespan is 100 years, so the same as a human.

Only one more to go! After that, I'll be adding a new thing to these ANs for a bit. It's something I've wanted to do for awhile, so I'm really excited to get to it! I'll keep it as a surprise until then, though. ;)

After being in the Void for an unknown amount of time, Xelqua found himself sitting beside the illusion of Miesall. An endless blackness surrounded the two of them. They sat on top of it, swinging their legs back and forth. They sat their in a comfortable silence for awhile
The personified Void ('Miesall') was the first to act, turning its head to the Watcher. "Why do you stay here?" It asked. "I have allowed you to leave many times but you do not... why?"
Xelqua only tilted his head as he looked over at 'Miesall.' "Well, because you're here." He replied, going to take its hand. He squeezed it, but the illusion didn't squeeze back.
The Void, instead, turned its face away. It nodded slightly. "To lose someone dear to you is a very painful thing indeed." it agreed. It took its free hand and covered it's masked face as tears began to spill over. "I am the same, I suppose."
Xelqua found himself looking away as well. He knew this wasn't Miesall, and yet holding its hand like this gave him comfort. "As long as I have him, I'll be alright." he admitted, moving to bring his knees up and hug them with his free hand.
The Void allowed itself to remain there with him for a long time yet again. Still, it knew that Xelqua(or Grian, whatever he was named,) needed to get out of here.
For the infinity that it had lived and will live, it found its own existence comforting and... imprisoning. In a different time (which to it was happening at the same time in its eyes), it was cherishing it's own lover. That was the same as what Xelqua was doing with it now; only this time it was a friend.
Still, the price had to be paid. To infinitely live out your joys was to also infinitely live out your sorrows as well. The Void had often wondered if, given the chance, it would give up its infinity and just be... finite, like humans were. Like humans were supposed to be, not like this one was now.
