Nandini. This girl. She confuses me to the point that I'm starting to get frustrated that for the first time I'm unable to see through someone and predict them. I cant tell what she thinks or what she's up to, like at one time she's so feisty and defensive but as soon as something strikes in her she's a totally different person, she flinched when someone even comes a little close to her or tries touching her, she stutters. It's just hard to workout what she's actually thinking or feeling.

She thinks I'm stupid not to figure out she was lying when she told me her father is the reason for her constant fear and flinching around men. I know I'm unable to portray emotions and feelings but I can sure know when someone's lying. And she was but I didn't want to go any further in to this because I don't want her thinking I care because I really don't.

I woke up around 6 as usual, as soon as I open my eyes the first thing I see is Nandini sleeping on the couch all curled up and tangled in the blanket, by the looks of it not even an ounce of air can get in to her blanket, it's like she's protecting herself with the blanket. Strange.

I saw her night lamp yesterday, I told her I didn't care what she brought as long as she didn't mess with the furniture or put anything up on the walls, when she asked me if she can put something in this room I didn't expect it to be a night lamp.

What the hell am I doing just staring at her and analysing?

I get up from the bed heading towards cupboard grabbing my workout gear before I could head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. As I was heading to the bathroom I hear Nandini's voice which stops me.

"No! Please don't!" She cried out loud, I turned to her seeing what was the problem. Her eyes were tightly shut and scrunched up while she grabbed on to the sheets tightly.

I quickly went towards her wondering what happened, by the looks of it it was definitely a nightmare.

"Nandini?"

"Stop!" She shouts, I bet if the doors weren't sound proof everyone would've heard her screams by now. I don't know how to calm her down.

I didn't want to touch her without her permission especially after her constant outburst but she was shaking and her whole forehead was covered in sweat. It was almost like she was having a seizure but it sure wasn't, it felt like she was trying so hard to snap out of her night mare.

I kneel down in front of her and she was still in her nightmare with her constant screams "No! Get away from me!"

"Nandini" I call her out again hoping she wakes up this time.

My hand shook as I reached for her but she moves closer causing my fingertip touching her cheeks her eyes, her hands come out of her blanket hitting my chest "Please don't touch me! I hate it!" She cries as she pushes me hard causing me to fall back and hit my back to the couch loudly.

What the fuck.

Her eyes flung open as she hears the loud noise which was me falling back hitting the couch, she looks around trying to process the reality—her breathing was heavier than usual it was almost like she was being choked.

She looks at me shocked seeing me on the ground "what the hell is wrong with you Nandini?!" I get up angrily.

"I-I'm sorry I didn't see you I thought—"

"Shut the fuck up, I told you yesterday that this shouldn't be a big issue" I snap back at her, she looks down as tears fall from her eyes.

"I can't control my dreams" she whispers as she wipes her tears.

"I never said that! It's either you tell me the reason behind all this and what is actually causing all this so one way or another I can help you" I tell her.
