"He said what?" Aud stands up gasping. I can tell she is trying to hide her smile. "Jesus Aud. Try to look a little more devasted that your amazing boyfriend just broke up with you. Over some one that has treated you like complete crap! What the heck is wrong with you? Mack is incredible. He is smart, funny and he adores the ground you walk on Audrey! Not to mention he is gorgeous." Audrey interrupts me. "But he isn't who I love Sabrina. You told me you would always support me no matter what." She puts her hands on her hips. "Yes I did Audrey. But that was before all of this" I throw my hands up in the air walking to the bar. So frustrated that Audrey isn't using her head right now. I pour myself a bourbon. "But I love him Sabrina." She almost whispers I can barely hear her. "Are you freaking kidding me right now? Do you not remember how he devastated you? How depressed you were? Who pulled you out of that? I do! Lexi and I, along with Mackie had to drag you out of bed. You have laughed and smiled more in the last month than I have seen you in years girlie. Use your damn head! You don't think he will do this again? You're smarter than that Audrey." I toss the drink back. "Bri please." Her voice sounds soft and sad. "I have no idea why you continue to hurt yourself like this Audrey." Rolling my eyes. "The same reason why you would and have for Chris." Crossing her arms over her chest. A scowl on her face. "That is so different and you know it. His jealously was out of hand yes. What Tom did? Aud he said all those things to me in a crowd of like hundreds. How can you forgive that?" My attitude matching hers. Trying to make her see she may be making a huge mistake. Tom has caused her so much pain already. Now she is letting Mackie walk away because of him. "Sabrina." Her sigh is heavy. "What? What Audrey? Did you honestly think I was going to be instantly ok with this? You are the closest person in the world to me other than Mom and Cloe. You are basically my sister. I love you too much to not be protective of you." Pinching the bridge of my nose. Knowing a headache is coming. "I love him Bri. You should know more than anyone how I feel." Her hand on my shoulder. "I know, I know. It doesn't mean I have to wike it." Sighing out the words. "Oh my god! I can't believe you just said that." Audrey's giggle fills the room. I can't help but join her. "He screws up again Audrey." She interrupts me. "Then I promise I'm more than done." Hugging me tightly trying to reassure me. There is a knock at the door. When I open it I find Devin with a small sad smile. Audrey's luggage at his feet.

"My apologies Bri. But Mr. Mackie requested I bring these to her." He rolls the bags into the room. "I am currently getting a room for you settled downstairs Miss. Audrey as Mr. Downey left this morning you shall have his. I'm sorry Audrey." Startling Sabrina he hugs Audrey tightly. "I'm ok Devin. Thank you though. It's only fair that I let him go. He deserves better than this. Some one made for him. Who loves him and only him." Her sigh audible through the room. He breaks from her embrace. "What ever do you mean?" Devin looks at her confused. His eyes widen more and more as she explains. "Pardon? Aud have you lost your damn mind? What in the world are you thinking? You deserve so much better than what he did. Sabrina my dear, why are we not slapping the sh*t out of her right now? Knock some sense into her for the love of all things holy! If you want an English gentleman Audrey I can find you dozens deserving of you. This one is most definitely not! Have you both gone bonkers?" His head pivots quickly to me. "Because she is a grown woman Devin. Also she is our dear friend. We all support each other correct? Sort of like what I would do for you. If you ever made the dumb decision of leaving my dear friend for my brother in law. Give you my opinion on how insane it is than support you after." I couldn't help myself. I had to. Slanting eyes meet mine. "So not amusing Sabrina Kathleen. You and my arse of a boyfriend need to stop with that. I would never leave my love for anyone." Hands on his hips he rolls his eyes but ends up laughing. "I did get Chris to stop giving you crap remember?" Giving him a teasing look. "Ah yes. I thank you again for that. It was getting rather annoying. Him walking into the lobby each time saying there's my favorite brother in law. How you deal with his nonsense is beyond me." Devin laughs loudly. "The same way you do. Those damn blue eyes." My giggle fit takes me over. "They are rather entrancing aren't they?" Sighing Devin looks distracted. "Oh my god! Fan boy much?" I bust out laughing. "You're one to talk." Audrey laughs even louder. "Shut it! Girl you are on thin ice already." Wagging my finger at her as she smirks at me.
