Dominique and Victoire sat at Starbucks together in silence sipping on their coffees. Victoire could tell something was bothering her younger sister but she didn't want to pressure her. Dominique tore her gaze away from the window and looked down at her hands wrapped around her coffee cup. She took a deep breath and finally broke the silence between them.
"I kissed Teddy." Dominique blurted out before she could stop herself. Victoire looked at the girl, clearly shocked to hear those words come out of her mouth.
"Come again?" She asked. Dominique finally looked up and made eye contact with the older girl.
"Remember when Alissa broke up with me?" She asked her. Victoire simply nodded in response before Dominique continued. "One night shortly after that, i got really drunk at a bar down the street from your place. After drinking my feelings, i went to your place. I just wanted to be with you and cry my heart out. You have always been so comforting. You weren't there but Teddy insisted i stay until i at least sobered up a little bit. We were talking and i was honestly so deep in my feelings and I don't know what i was thinking or why i did it but i just kissed him. He didn't kiss me back and I honestly pulled away so quick, he didn't even have time to react. I freaked out and begged him not to tell you and i just left. Im just so sorry for betraying you like that and then not telling you on top of it. I understand if you hate me, but im so sorry." Dominique explained to her as a few tear strolled down her cheeks. Victoire let out a small laugh and took the younger girl's hand into hers.
"Oh love. Why would i hate you over some silly kiss like that? We all make mistakes when we're drunk. You were emotional and you clearly were not in your right mind. I know you and Teddy would never do anything to hurt me and I know you two don't view each other in that way. You went other there to see me, not kiss my boyfriend. Your intentions were pure and you made a mistake. Honestly, im glad it was Teddy you kissed instead of some random person at the bar. You're a beautiful young woman, most men would have taken advantage of you. You have to be careful, Domie." Victoire told the young girl. Dominique smiled at her.
"You are too pure for this world, Vic. I love you so much. You are literally the best sister anyone could ask for." Dominique told her as she wiped away a couple stray tears with her free hand.
"Eh, i beg to differ. You're the best sister anyone could ask for. I love you too. Now lets go shopping." She offered while getting up. Dominique smiled at her and thanked her lucky stars for blessing her with someone like Victoire as a sister as the two left the coffee shop.
