Cassiopeia and Lysander sat on the couch with one another with tension filling the air with every passing second. Scorpius looked at his sister and shook his head. Cassiopeia rolled her eyes in response.

"It's really pathetic how you came back over here after borderline verbally abusing my sister and not say a damn word about it." Scorpius said, finally breaking the ice. Lysander looked at him and let out a sigh.

"That wasn't abuse, Scorpius. You might not see it, but your sister is the love of my life. I've done so much shit for her that it would fucking surprise you. Not many people would turn down their dream for someone else. I've literally risked everything for her. There's a lot that goes on behind closed doors that no one else sees, Scorpius." Lysander told him coldly. Before Scorpius could even respond to defend himself, Cassiopeia beat him to it.

"You did what?" Cassiopeia asked her boyfriend. Lysander mentally cursed himself and turned to face her.

"Remember that year long program i told you about thats outrageously hard to get into? The one with all the hands on experience? Im the only one in my class that was offered and i turned it down. I was told to think about it but I'm not going to accept it." Lysander explained to her with a shrug. Cassiopeia shook her head at him.

"You're an idiot. This has been your dream for years. You are going to accept the offer. I wont allow you to throw that away for me." Cassiopeia told him. He gave her a small smile and shook his head.

"Sorry for losing my shit earlier." He told her. She smiled at him and nodded before giving him a quick kiss on his cheek.

"All is forgiven. Even me, right?" Cassiopeia asked him. He laughed and smiled at her.

"Especially you, my love." Lysander told her before pulling her into a kiss. Draco cleared his throat almost instantly. The two pulled away from each other and sighed.

"You still haven't explained why you did something so ignorant, Cassiopeia." Draco reminded her. Cassi let out a groan.

"Thanks, Daddy, for remembering. I just love your amazing memory." Cassi told him sarcastically. "I just have a hard time sleeping. And if i do sleep, i wake up late in the day and it pisses you off. Then you suddenly got the amazing idea that i was just on my phone all night and started taking it away at night basically giving me a bedtime like I'm five. I got tired of getting in trouble so i asked Lorcan to get me something to help me go to sleep." She explained. Lysander gave her a sympathetic smile.

"But why didn't you just come to me about this? You've never lied to me before, why now?" Lysander asked her. She shrugged.

"You know, communication goes a long way, Cas. Just because I get upset at you and assume things doesn't mean that im always right. I make mistakes to. I always give you a chance to explain yourself yet you always choose to keep everything inside. Just because im your Dad doesn't mean that you can't come to me about these things." Draco explained. Cassiopeia sighed.

"Im sure it's annoying when you're the only one i go to, Ly. You're my living diary and my problem solver. I feel like my problems are eventually going to become annoying to you. And you always make me feel like im a crazy person, Dad. I use to open up to you but you always try to force me to go see a doctor. I don't want to talk to a stranger about my issues. Thats always your solution." Cassiopeia replied honestly.

"Well, he's not entirely wrong, babe. If you don't get proper help, your issues are just going to continue to set you back. I've even suggested it before. I really wish i could but I can't solve everything for you, Cas. And i happen to enjoy being your living diary. Thats what im here for. You don't have to keep anything from me." Lysander told her. She smiled at him and nodded.

"Good because I really hated hiding that from you. I promise I'll be honest with you for now on as long as you promise to accept that offer." Cassiopeia negotiated with a smirk that was identical to her fathers.

"Really? What the hell do i have to do for you to be honest with me?" Draco asked her. Cassiopeia rolled her eyes at him.

"Okay, fine. I'll be honest with you about certain things. But you're my dad, it's kinda my job to torture you with my horrible behavior." Cassiopeia told him with a shrug.

"What happen to if she messes up again, she's not allowed around them?" Scorpius asked, clearly frustrated.

"Mind your business, Scorpius." Draco told him. Scorpius rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone. His mood had suddenly changed as he typed away.

"Aw, is dad's favorite upset because he didn't get his way?" Cassiopeia asked mockingly. Scorpius shot daggers at her before getting up.

"Fuck off, Cas." He told her before leaving the room. Lysander sighed pulled out his phone.

"I guess i now have a phone call to make, unless you agree that a year is too long to be away from each other." He said. Cassiopeia rolled her eyes and shook her head at him
before he got up and left the room. Silence filled the room once again. Draco moved from his seat and sat down next to Cassi.

"Are you okay?" He asked her. She simply nodded. "As much as i hate to admit this, i can see how much you two love each other. Its okay to be happy for him and upset about this." He told her. A tear slid down her cheek but she quickly wiped it away.

"Im fine. I'll be at Hogwarts after the summer anyway. It's only a year, Dad. It'll be a great experience for him." She told him as her eyes filled with tears. Draco wrapped his arm around her and pulled her into a side hug. He went to speak but Lysander had rejoined the two of them.

"I told him that I thought about it and made up my mind. I also told him that wasn't my dream anymore. Do you remember that one time at Hogwarts after Christmas break, a first year was hiding in the astronomy tower and crying because he was home sick? You comforted him like a mother would. That was the moment I knew that i wanted to marry you one day. And then summer came. We went to jewelry shop one day and you pointed out an engagement ring and said that it was the most beautiful thing you've ever laid your eyes on. I went back the next day and bought it. We're now dating and I've been carrying it around with us everywhere like a maniac because you never know when the time is right. And honestly I get that we're young and a lot can change and i know it'll be years before we even think about a wedding but if you want my dream to come true, say yes and marry me one day." He told her while reaching into his pocket and pulling out a ring and getting down on his knees. Cassiopeia took the box from him and smiled.

"Did you just propose?" She asked him. He let out a nervous laugh.

"I guess i did, didn't I?" He asked her. She took the ring out of the box and slid it onto her ring finger.

"Of course I'll marry you one day in about six years." She told before pulling him in for a kiss. Draco smiled at the sight but quickly changed his expression once they pulled away from each other.

"You two just made a huge commitment. Are you sure you're ready?" Draco asked the two of them.

"Sir, I've never been more sure of anything in my life." Lysander told him.

"Dad, its not like we're getting married tomorrow. It'll definitely gonna take a few years." Cassi said with an eye roll. Draco nodded.

"Well, I have to get back to a few things. But congratulations, I guess." Draco told them before leaving the room.

"Im gonna need that ring back one day so i can do an actual proposal." Lysander told her with a laugh. She nodded in agreement.

"And make sure my father isn't present during our second engagement." She told him. He simply nodded before pulling her back into a kiss.
