"They won't stop calling." Rose groaned as she turned her phone over, ignoring the phone call from her father. She turned back to Adrian and smiled at him. She stood up and stripped down to her bra and underwear. "If we're going to be staying here all night, we might as well go for a swim." Rose told him. Adrian shook his head before standing up and taking his clothes off. Rose took his hand into hers and rushed the two of them to the water.
"You're kinda cute when you're all care free and adventurous." Adrian told the young girl once they were waist deep. She shrugged at him as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"You bring it out in me." Rose replied before turning herself around to look at the full moon that was just above the horizon. "It's so beautiful tonight." Rose commented quietly.
"It really is." Adrian agreed as he stared at her instead of the view in front of him. Rose let a relaxed sigh leave her lips as she laid back against her boyfriend and closed her eyes.
"Despite my brother and father annoying us all night, tonight has been so relaxing and I truly appreciate this little surprise." Rose told him. Adrian smiled as he wrapped his arms around her.
"There's actually a reason why I planned this, baby." He told her as he kissed her neck.
"Oh yeah? And what reason is that?" Rose asked him curiously without moving.
"I've actually had this planned out many times, I just always talk myself out of it. I know there's someone out there that actually deserves you. I know there's someone out there that can actually be consumed by the love that they feel for you. I know you deserve your feelings to be reciprocated. I know that I don't deserve you. I know that I will probably never be able to feel what you feel and baby, that truly kills me." Adrian started. He paused as she turned around to face him, a worried look on her face.
"What are you doing right now? Are you ending things?" Rose asked him nervously. Adrian gave her a small smile before taking her hands into his.
"I know those things, and I know that you do to. I know that despite my past and everything that's wrong with me, you fell in love with me. I'm honestly still trying to figure out why. I don't have to hide any part of myself from you. You are the only person that has ever accepted me, loved me, and chose me for who I am. You have been quite a good influence. You've made me a better person and I will always be thankful for that. I have two choices tonight. I can be the better version of me and let you go so you can find someone who actually deserves you and can offer you more than I ever can. Or I can choose to be the selfish prick that I use to be one last time and ask you to marry me, and this would be the part I get on one knee and whip out a ring, but we're standing in the ocean in our undergarments and the ring is in my pants." Adrian continued, rushing the last part out. Rose rolled her eyes as she tried to hold back the tears that were beginning to form.
"You ass! I thought you were breaking up with me. Of course I'll marry you. I want you and only you, Adrian. I don't care if you think I deserve more or whatever. No one could make me as happy as you. I love you so much and that will never change. I will choose you forever." Rose replied with a smile. Adrian's smile grew before he pulled her closer and kissed her passionately.
"Does that mean you wouldn't mind officially moving in with me as well?" He asked her curiously. Rose smiled at him.
"Oh, so you have noticed that I've been leaving stuff at your place little by little?" Rose asked him with a smirk. Adrian laughed and nodded.
"Of course I've noticed. I at least wanted to be engaged before asking you to move in." He told her. She smiled at him and patted him on his chest.
"You can do the honors of telling my father." She told him before she began walking back towards the shore. He let out a sigh before following after her. They both laid down on the blanket they had laid out. Adrian suddenly sat up and reached into the pocket of his pants and pulled out the diamond ring. Rose held her hand out, allowing him to slip it onto her finger.
"You've made tonight the most magical night of my life." Adrian told her as he laid down and turned towards her. She turned to face him and smiled.
"You're the one that made it magical, baby. You make everything magical." She told him as she moved closer to him and closed her eyes once more. "I love you." She told him quietly as she quickly drifted off to sleep. Adrain grabbed the second blanket he had brought and covered the two of them up before wrapping his arm around her.
"I love you too. I know I do, even if I can't feel it." Adrian said quietly as he looked up at the night sky and listened to the waves of the ocean, allowing Rose to sleep peacefully.
