6) The dreams

Yall made it to the barn and all walked in after clearing it. Yall boarded the door up and sat on the floor. Rick still had Judith. You sat next to tyreese and layed your head on his shoulder "You alright y/n?" you nodded and shut you eyes.

Carl glared at tyreese and then walked up to him and you, he took off his flannel and wrapped it around you. He looked at rick and rick looked up at him confused, carl walked over and sat next to rick and took judith.

You hadn't realized you'd fallen asleep until you felt you being slowly put on the ground and banging on the barn doors. You sat up quickly which resulted in carl's flannel falling off and you ran to the doors to help everyone.

In the morning

You hadn't realized you all fell asleep until the next morning, you saw that a couple of people weren't there.  Looking you saw it was maggie and roseita.

Next thing you know you hear people running and then the doors slamming open.  You flinch from the noise and hear a body thud beside you. "Rick wake your ass up." you heard maggie say and then rick groan.

"What is it maggie?" "Someone's been watching and following us." and with that you instantly stood up and ran beside maggie "So you throw them beside me?!" "Y/n i didnt-" "No save it maggie." and you storm out.

"Carl go get her." and carl nodded at his father and went after you "Y/n it isnt safe." you turn around on your heel "Carl.   How would you feel if someone you see as your mother because your mother is dead throw a stranger beside you not knowing if the person meant harm?" "Not good?" "Exactly!  So let me be."

Carl went up to you and brought you into a hug, you tried to fight it but gave up and rested your head on his chest. Carl rubbed your back, trying to calm you and it was working.

"Now what about tyreese, you seem to be closer?" you looked up at carl "Awhh. You jealous? but a brother figure" carl glared at you "Does he know?" you nodded.

You heard a twig snap and then maggie's voice "You see me as your mother figure..?" you went to look over carl's shoulder but realized how much taller he was than you so you gave her a thumbs up from the side and she joined in on yours and carls hug.

"Y/n i didnt know.." you smiled and wrapped one arm around maggie and the other around carl and carl did the same "You're fine maggie."

Maggie let go of you and carl "Well i'll let you two go back to what yall were doing." she said while winking at you. You glared at her "Maybe ill tell carl about all the things you've told me you want glenn to do?" she gasped "You wouldn't dare."

"Try me." she rolled her eyes "Im sorry for what I implied." you smiled "Thank you." she nodded and left. You and carl chatted for awhile until you both decided it was time to go back.

Once you and carl made it back talking with each other, maggie pulled you aside "Are yall dating yet?" "maggie no." you heard her go awhh and then a why but ignored her and went inside the barn.

You all went to the place the person who was following yall said to go. Yall stayed the night there after being interviewed and were given houses.

Rick didn't trust them so he suggested that you all stay in one house. So y'all did, you were sat inbetween maggie and carl.  Maggie already half asleep beside glenn, and carl holding judith but you could tell he was falling asleep.

"Hey give me her" you whispered and held your arms out.   Carl smiled and handed you judith "Thank you" you nodded and he curled up in his sleeping bag, or well the blankets he had and passed out.

Shortly afterwards rick came up and took judith "Go to sleep y/n" you nodded and did the same thing carl did and passed out aswell.

When you woke up you realized it wasnt morning because the sun was fully up and everyone was awake.   Including Judith.  Walking out the house you see everyone minus carl with the woman that took you in.

You walk over to the group and see that Carl, Tyreese, and Michonne are gone.  Not realizing you were walking to be beside maggie until you heard her voice "Mornin sleepy head."  "Morning, where's carl, tyreese and michonne?" she shrugged "They left before i woke up, try rick."

You nodded and do that "They went on a run with the dude who recruited us." you nodded and shortly afterwards you see carl, michonne and the dude but no tyreese.

You freeze in place already knowing the deja vu feeling you're getting.  Carl walks up to you and brings you into a hug.  "No.." carl sighs "Im sorry y/n..   We tried to get to him quickly but he was just swarmed" you wrap your arms around carl and start crying.

Carl took your hand and brought you back into the house yall slept in last night and sat down bringing you back into his arms. You continued to cry for hours until your sobs stopped and ended up passing out in carl's arms...
