Hermione

I opted for a more modern delivery for the birth of my daughter Eileen, named after Severus's mother. The boys didn't like being kept out of the delivery room, but Lucius and Andromeda kept them in line in the waiting room. Severus helped me through the worst of the labor, even though the epidural made my entire lower half numb so I couldn't feel myself pushing, unlike last time where I delivered at home.

Eileen looked more like me, but had her father's nose, much to his chagrin, even though I reassured him yet again that she was a beautiful child.

The belated baby showers were seemingly endless, but Eileen handled the attention like a professional, and it was during one of those baby showers that Hagrid showed up with a surprising present for Severus: a green dragon egg. Killian arrived in his wizard form, and nodded. "She will be your dragon, of course. But, your son's dragon mate, I believe."

"Not you?"

Killian grinned. "No. I have Hermione for that if she so chooses. But, if not there are other dragons of my kind that will happily foot the bill, so to speak."

Eileen grabbed at Killian's black and red hair, "Oh, it's like that, greedy miss. I should hand you back to your mother for that."

Killian handed her off to me, and kissed my cheek. She crawled on the floor as she played with her toys, as the rest of us ladies talked about upcoming weddings, and due dates for witches that we knew were pregnant. The twins had their own fun playing with the kid sized Quidditch set the Weasleys sent over, and Draco helping them by showing them how to play the game...

Five years after the war, and Luna and Draco were already working on their second child, a boy, Heather was going to marry her vampire boyfriend Alex on Halloween. Ron was still moving from one witch's and wizard's bed to another, never really settling down. Ginny and Neville had three kids already, two boys, one girl, each a year apart. But, the pregnancy that surprised me the most was Andromeda, because no one expected Malfoy senior and her to try for another child after they married officially. She said she was delighted to be having a boy, and all of us were happy for her.

When the party wound down, I spent time with both my wizards, and Killian and I decided to simply be friends for now since I had so much on my plate with raising my children.

I got ready for bed, and slipped in beside Severus as he was reading in bed. "Is this work related?"

"No, Potioneer notes from Potioneers Weekly magazine."

"Ooo, how stirring," I yawned, "Do you think you could read some of it to me? You have one of those great reader voices for muggle audio book recordings, I think it wouldn't take much to help me to fall asleep."

"If you insist," He said, and began reading from the article he was studying which was very detail heavy, and predictably dull. I fell at once to sleep to the sound of my husband's soothing baritone voice.

After a while, he shifted my sleeping position off to the side for a bit so he could turn off his nightstand light, and lie down. We slept then, and in that small window of twilight neither of us worried about the goings on of the world around us, we were just content in this one that we created for ourselves...
