Five Years After The War...

Harry

The Knight Bus had been a bumpy ride, but Teddy seemed to enjoy it, Dora not so much due to just finding out that she was pregnant again. The news had been joyous, of course, and Harry was thrilled that this time he was the father of Dora's baby, but it all seemed to be overshadowed by Remus's death.

Dora chose blonde hair this time, and she looked rather pretty in her robes. She had Teddy perched on her right hip as they disembarked to see Godric's Hollow. He followed the familiar cobblestone streets until he found the ruins of what should have been his childhood home.

"Here it is, Dora, here is where my family died," Harry pointed.

"But daddy, we're your family too, right?" Teddy piped up.

Harry smiled, and tousled his hair. "Of course you are, sprout. This is where your Grandmum and Granddad were killed when your daddy was much younger than you."

"By the boogeyman?"

Dora chuckled, "Yes, sport. The boogeyman he was. But, mummy wanted to see this place too to remind us of where we come from."

"Daddy, this place is creepy."

"I agree, son, it is. Do you want to see where your Grandparents are sleeping?" Harry invited.

"Yeah! Can we get ice cream later?"

"We'll see, sport," Dora answered. "Grandpa John still wants to spend time with you this weekend."

Harry led his family to the graveyard where his parents were buried. Leaves covered it now, and he used a cleaning spell to clean it up. "Hi, mum. Hi, dad. I'm sorry I haven't been by to like visit, but a lot has happened. This is Nymphadora, my wife. This little guy Teddy is my stepson, and we have one of our own on the way."

Dora gently touched the marble that had Lily and James Potter's names engraved into it. She smiled, "I've heard so much about you guys. But...well, I never thought I'd be standing here meeting you all like this. Teddy, do you want to say anything to Grand and Granmummy?"

Teddy's hair switched from green to purple. "Yeah. Teddy loves you. I hope we can meet one day."

He went back to Dora, and she held his hand. "Of course, you will, honey. But that won't be for a long, long time."

"Really?"
"Yes. They are happy to meet you, hon."

"That's good. Daddy, can we get ice cream after dinner?" Teddy asked.

Harry tousled his step son's hair. "Sure, kiddo. Are you ready to go, Dora?"

Dora kissed him softly. "Of course, babe. I'm ready."

She took his hand in hers, and they walked back to the Knight Bus station where they did go out for ice cream after dinner.

Their lives continued on much the way the other Golden Trio did, save for Hermione Prince who ended up with no one but two wizards, and had a large family as a result of this in the long run....
