Severus

The dour Headmaster of Hogwarts studied his wife in profile as she laid on her side of the bed before he returned to work in the Headmaster's office. He didn't want her visiting Hogwarts, but as she wanted to hand in most of her finished class assignments in person, who was he to refuse her? Saying goodbye to Lucius and Andromeda as they attended this latest Revel certainly freed him up to work, but they would be in quite the predicament once the Polyjuice potion wore off for them both.

He sipped his glass of merlot, not his usual firewhiskey as he worked at his desk in the office portion of the Headmaster office. Minerva McGonagoll handled the majority of the administrative work, including the letters to all of the forthcoming Hogwarts students, but he still had to be the one to approve lesson plans, and ensure that each disciplinary file on each student was on the up and up.

Nigelius Black stirred in his portrait. "I swear you are a worse workaholic than either Albus or Minerva. Shouldn't you be more concerned about your wife?"

Severus scowled up at the portrait. "I'm not above incinerating your portrait. Don't you have other portraits to haunt?"

Nigel Black chuckled, "Uh huh. I'll take that as Snape speak for 'I'm an obsessive workaholic,' or 'I'm worried about my cousin but won't admit it.' I highly doubt the despot will kill his mistress outright for stealing the Elder Wand."

"Never mention that he even has the capacity to perform bedroom antics again, Black," Severus ground out.

Nigel Black held up his hands in feigned surrender. "So noted. All I am saying is that he cares for Bellatrix in his own way."

"He was conceived under amortentia, he literally does not have the capacity to love. Need I remind you of this, or has death completely addled your wits?"

Black sighed heavily, "I am aware of the curse of the potion. I was gifted at potions as well when I was alive."

"Could have fooled me."
"We are not alone."

Severus looked to the stairs to see his wife descend them dressed in her white silk night gown and pajamas. Even with the large belly, she looked radiantly beautiful.

"Are you still working?"

He finished up reading Hagrid's lesson plans for the year, and approved it. He flicked his wand to send it to organize itself into the necessary file, and with the others.

"More or less. Ignore Headmaster Black, I often do," He drawled.

She chuckled, coming around to massage his shoulders before kissing the top of his head. "That's alright, the only Black I was remotely interested in is dead now."

"I should punish such slanderous words, witch," He smirked, enjoying her ministrations on his shoulders. "Was he aware of your regard?"

"No. It was a stupid crush."
"Ah. I'm sorry to have awakened you."

She perched herself on the edge of his desk, crossing her legs at the knee, swinging her legs almost girlishly. He knew they couldn't do much with her big belly in the way, but he sent his thoughts her way. Hermione blushed, smiling knowingly.

"Are you sure you aren't too tired?"
"Are you?"

She stopped swinging her legs, and parted them so that her gown rode up her thighs, exposing the fact that she wore no knickers. He rose and parted her legs further to palm her pussy as he leaned in and claimed her lips for his own. He stroked between her legs slowly, teasingly, as he dipped his tongue into her mouth.

"Mm...mm...Severus..."

He smiled against her mouth as he slid a finger inside her, and began moving it in and out, delighting in how easily her hormones got her in the mood. He used his thumb to occasionally flick and circle her clit as their kisses turned more intense and passionate. Had he ever wanted a witch as much as Hermione? The answer was no. He added another finger and picked up the pace of his fingering, and kissed her harder as he felt her get closer to the edge of her climax.

He withdrew his fingers, and licked them off. She frowned, "I was enjoying that."

"I know. But I need relief as well."
"I can use my mouth."

"Some other time. Right now, I need you. Let's go to bed."

She raised no more objections then as he led her to bed, and at first, their antics were gentle, but he needed her on all fours, and that was when he lost himself in her, and he didn't think or worry about his cousin Lucius Malfoy, or Andromeda Tonks on their secret mission the rest of the evening.

When they were done with their antics, Hermione sighed heavily, "I heard about Lucius's plan regarding the Elder Wand earlier."

He cupped a breast from behind, delighting in how responsive the nipple was as he idly rolled it between his fingers. "I did not want to worry you. Stress is not good for your condition."

"I'm not. I'm concerned."
"For Draco's sake, you mean?"

"Obviously. I have learned to care for the Malfoys, but this plan is reckless. So many things could go wrong with this, least of which they could die. Dora would lose a mother, Draco a father, and only Bellatrix would be the last Black sister. I wouldn't want to imagine the burden Harry would feel comforting Dora if she lost her mother when she just had Teddy."

He smoothed her hair back from her face to kiss her lips softly. "Precisely why I was not forthcoming about the plan, lioness. You care deeply about our family, but I need your focus on our sons at this present time."

She guided his hand to the swell of her belly where they kicked at his hand. "They are fine, my Prince. I merely came to visit you to turn in my homework, and perhaps have a tumble or two with the handsome Headmaster of Hogwarts."

He feigned a frown. "I shall have to kill my twin brother Hans later."

"Hans? You named him that?"

"Yes, Hans Gruber Snape, didn't you know? I thought he was at home last Christmas."

Hermione giggled. "Ah, yes. How could I forget him? A pity he's not real."

"Likewise. I think a twin you would be amazing," He teased back.

She kissed him fervently, and they revelled in just kissing before she yawned. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I think we should get to bed. We both have meetings to attend tomorrow, and I have a baby shower to plan with Luna for Sunday afternoon."

He rolled his eyes. "The waves of estrogen are killing me already, witch."

She grinned. "Oh, poor you. Don't you want people to come and pay homage to the products of our love?"

He grinned. "Ah. Shameless adoration disguised in a party. You are too right, lioness. The only one I attended was for Narcissa, and that had bored me to tears."

Hermione tucked a piece of his hair behind his ear. "Well...as hosts of this show, I think we can find some diversions from this hen party as you just called it in your mind."

"You hate the attention as well."

"Yes, but how often does one fall pregnant?"

"Often, if our love life is anything to judge by."

"I cannot dispute that."

"Nor should we." He yawned. "We should sleep we both have full schedules ahead of us."

"And there is my workaholic husband coming to the fore."

He kissed her lightly, "And you are not?"
"Guilty as charged."
"What a pair we are then."
"I love you too."
"I categorically deny such claims."
"Mmhm. Good night."
"Good night, lioness."

She fell asleep then, and Severus remained awake as he took in the sheer quiet of the Headmaster's chambers. He had always felt safer in the dungeons, where his old chambers were. True, he tried to imprint his own design aesthetic on this place, but this wasn't his place, and at night he felt that keenly deep down in his bones. He rolled on to his side, and held his wife. He kissed the top of her head, and lightly stroked her occupied belly.

He had never tried to connect to his sons via legilimency, but he felt like he needed to now. He closed his eyes, focused on their magical shared lifeforce, and after a time he was able to connect with them in his mind, but it was a strange first meeting, because he did not meet them as the children they were but as the adults they would become, and what they had to say was intriguing to say the least....
