Andromeda
Lucius and Andromeda soon found out from the posters on the marquee flashing all over the place that their long lost daughter was acting in a performance of Romeo And Juliet as the lead. They quickly found a store to change into proper attire for a theater date, and her earlier misgivings about seeking her daughter out evaporated.
Lucius, of course, sprang for the VIP package, which meant being able to go backstage along with the other snooty muggles in the crowd to get star struck by the other actors. They showed their tickets to the "ushers," and they were herded off with the "special crowd," and it was all very fancy and elitist. The rest of the theater goers had to make do with waiting in a ridiculously long line to see the same play.
Lucius chuckled at her disapproval. "You don't like the five star treatment?"
Andra rolled her eyes. "You know I could not care less about such things. I only want to meet our daughter."
He kissed her cheek. "You still like being shown off like a Queen admit it, darling."
"Only with you, you know that."
"Yes, I do. Thank you, for enduring all of this with me."
"Of course. Let's get seated."
Their balcony box was richly appointed with plush curtains, and chairs for them to enjoy the full view of the stage as it was set up as a medieval version of Verona, Italy. A fancy menu with a phone was between the chairs with them, and everything down to cheap sweets, popcorn, and soft drinks were printed on it with no prices, because hey, there's no shame in fleecing the rich theater patrons, right?
"Pity, I was hoping they had chocolate frogs at least," Andra teased.
Lucius chuckled, "Gods forbid any of these people handle having chocolate confections jump on them, however briefly. Do you want anything? It doesn't have to be anything fancy, my ego isn't nearly that extreme."
She looked over the menu, and saw that there was a charteauterie board, along with companion wines to pair with the meats and cheeses. "I think the meat and cheese board is perfect for this."
Lucius agreed. "I agree. It's been a long time since I have had this."
They put in their orders, and the service was excellent, because everything was brought to them within a few minutes. Lucius poured their glasses for them, and clicked his glass against hers. "Cheers to us, my love."
She clicked her glass against his. "Cheers to that. Oh, it's starting."
The play began, and it was wonderful as some of the actors were famous in the muggle world. Andra saw that some celebrity with a strange last name of Hiddleston was playing Mercutio, and he was quite funny in his comic timing. But Heather as Juliet was...sublime. Andra wanted to reach for her daughter, to hug her, because this was the first time she had ever seen her daughter since she had been ripped from her arms in St Mungos all those years ago.
Lucius was just as enraptured by the play as she was, and when the play ended, he looked greatly impressed. "I can't wait to finally meet her, can't you? Look at her, she looks every inch a Malfoy and Black."
Andra smiled. "I am excited as well. Let's go backstage and meet her at last, what do you say?"
"I think that is the best idea I have heard all day."
They walked hand in hand down the richly carpeted steps, and joined the crowd waiting to go backstage. They gave their pseudonyms to the security guard, and he scanned their tickets. The backstage was simple in comparison to the rest of the elegant theater house, it was almost staggering. Some of the VIPs were jostling for autographs from the handsome muggle celebrity Andromeda could not care less about. Her goal was to see Heather, and she would see her no matter what.
