Caleb let out a sigh the moment he closed the door behind him. He felt absolutely drained of any type of energy, but he knew that if Sadie found out about the paparazzi article so quickly, he will have to give explanation to Millie as well. And that definitely wasn't something he was looking forward to.
But as of right now, he was planning on going to his room, changing his clothes and hopefully falling asleep before going to film tonight. He was one of the very few actors, that were asked to go and refilm some of the scenes. Along with Noah and Maya.
He scrunched up his face, using his right hand to press the elevator button. Once he heard the ding, he opened his eyes and almost fell backwards from the initial scare.
Millie, Noah and Gaten's eyes were piercing straight through his skull, evaluating the way he moved and probably able to read every single thought in his head.
"Caleb." Millie crossed her hands in front of her chest and the boy let out one final sigh, before nodding and stepping into the elevator and pressing his floor number.
"I will explain." he murmured, the elevator music starting to lightly play behind them. Noah and Gaten nodded, although not very enthusiastically, while Millie let out a huff, following the boy to his door.
Caleb let everyone go inside, with a sigh and tired eyes closing the door behind him. The moment he turned around, he was met with Millie leaned back on the wall and clearly expecting him to clear the situation.
"I pulled her aside to ask what was going on with her, because, you know, we barely talk lately and she always pushed me away," he brought his hand to his head, a headache starting to form in the front of his skull. "It's not my place to explain what happened with her and why she didn't talk much with us, but I can just say that she had it.. rough."
"Rough?" Millie let her hands fall to her side, her expression changing from anger to worry.
"I-I don't know how much I can say, but..," he trailed off, wanting to give something of an explanation to his friends, but also unsure how much Elle would allow him to share. "She was... abused."
Noah's mouth flew open, while Gaten's eyes widened. Both of them managed to go back to their normal states after a while, but unable to comprehend what was just given to them as an information.
Millie, however, was boiling with anger. She knew that something had happened, but she in no way imagined it was that. Her fists were clenched together so hard that she felt her nails leave marks on her palm, probably drawing blood in the process.
She cleared her throat, knowing that until Elle gave her the actual details of what happened and was comfortable enough to share, she couldn't do more besides comfort her. So, the brunette was planning to do exactly that, pushing Caleb to the side to leave the room.
"Wait, no, don't," he grabbed her hand, forcing her to stop in her tracks as she opened the door. With risen brows, she demanded an explanation as to why she shouldn't go see one of the closest people to her. "She is with Sadie."
"Oh." Millie relaxed for a second, knowing that her ginger best friend would be able to take care of Elle the best out of anyone in this room, or anyone in general.
"Okay, um, Mills, I think we should leave Caleb to rest," Noah cleared his throat, nudging Gaten that they should go. Millie's eyes softened immediately as she nodded. "Me and him have to go film tonight, so I am sure he needs the rest. Yeah?"
"Yeah." Caleb weakly nodded, leaning on the wall and banging his head on the hard surface. After that, he let his friends leave the room, closing the door with a sigh and plopping on the bed. Barely able to open his eyes, his hand found his phone and set an alarm for later.
