Sadie didn't expect the week to go by so quickly. After opening present after present, the two girls were entirely spent for the night. And although Annabelle tried to reason that she would be okay, her girlfriend was adamant on spending the night together, even if it was just to make sure that the blonde girl would be okay.
And after a couple of days passed, with the two girls always ending up cuddled against each other, Elle couldn't protest anymore and just accepted her faith. She decided that as much as she presented to be against it, she needed to feel Sadie's touch and to know that someone was there for her, someone that would always be next to her, regardless of the circumstances.
"Good morning." Sadie chuckled softly, opening the curtains to Elle's room. The sun beams immediately settled on the blonde girl's face, seemingly interrupting her sleep. She opened her eyes for a split second, before forcefully closing them. The sun was as bright as ever, leaving a spot on her vision that didn't go away as fast as it appeared.
"Mornin' to you." She managed to breathe out, before turning around to face the wall instead of the window. Sadie let out a soft laugh at that, going over to her and tapping her ever-so-slightly. A questioning grunt escaped Elle's lips, but she managed to sit up-straight.
"Sorry to be that person, but we have to go. The premiere is tonight." She whispered softly, helping her girlfriend in switching her clothes to something more presentable, something that wasn't Christmas pajamas, borrowed from Mitchell.
"I don't wanna..." The blonde girl protested, her pleas falling on deaf ears. She caught a glimpse of the time, seeing it was way too early for her liking - 7:30 am.
"I understand, however, we have no choice." Sadie stood up, presenting Annabelle with all their suitcases, neatly packed and ready to be loaded in her trunk. The blonde sighed, but complied. She managed to get two of the suitcases, leaving only one to Sadie.
"Leaving so early?" Mitchell laughed at the struggling Annabelle, but his question was genuine - he really did not want them to leave.
"Yup!" The blonde managed to say after opening the door and disappearing into the snow picture outside.
"So eager to leave, little sister?" He looked at her mischievously, taking a sip of the coffee in his hands.
"Premiere, you know how it is," The Redhead reasoned, leaving the suitcase on the ground, so she could give him a goodbye hug. From what she could tell, he was the only one awake in the not-so-little villa at the moment. "But thank you so much for having us. It means a lot to me, and to her as well."
"Always," The boy smiled genuinely, waving his hand in the air to indicate his seriousness. "But I gotta say, I am a bit disappointed."
This caught her attention. Sadie leaned back on the wall, brows furrowed. "What do you mean?"
Mitchell's smile turned into a large grin, carefully leaving his coffee on the table. "I thought that you coming here with her would finally mean you will announce your relationship. Seems like I was only half right."
The Redhead's entire face heated up, and she was unable to hide the red tint plastered all over her face. If their interactions didn't give it away, then this surely did. But she managed to pull herself together, even if it was just for the sake of her girlfriend. "Half right?" She managed to say, her pupils dilated so far that there was barely any blue left there.
"Well, I can clearly see something is going on between you two. I just don't understand why you wouldn't share it with the rest of the class."
Sadie didn't have the heart to deny it any longer. She nodded weakly, her head down in an attempt to hide her face from the inevitable truth.
