Elle never really thought about what room she picked - in all honesty, when asked, she would say she didn't care about it. It could face the north, the south, the west. It made no difference to her. It was, after all, just an apartment she was going to use for a couple of months while filming.
A "working apartment", if you will. She would rarely even stay in, always trying to distract herself with something outside, let it be interviews, photoshoots, meet-and-greets. Anything that would save her from staying between 4 closed walls, feeling like a trapped mouse.
And there would sometimes be days where she hated even going to set. Sometimes, when the anxiety was too much, she would prefer staying between those same 4 walls, watching a movie and pretending like her family wasn't blowing up her phone like any other day.
At least, Emilia wouldn't call her all the time while on set. It was the only good thing about both of them being actresses. Even as an asshole, she wouldn't bother her during filming. But would definitely wait for the day to be over for her daily dose of antagonizing.
But right now, when the sunlight was shining straight into her blue eyes, a wash of regret ran through her. She hated the fact that her room was facing the east, giving the sun a perfect opportunity to wake her up as soon as it rose.
With a groan, she opened her eyes, the light blinding her vision. Her eyes immediately shut closed with force. Thankfully, she wouldn't need to stand up to actually stop the sun from ruining her sleep.
"Alexa, close the drapes!"
Nothing. Fuck technology.
"The curtains," she heard a familiar voice next to her mumble. "Alexa, close the curtains."
As if that was the magic word, their faces were out of the lights' reach. Elle opened her eyes fully, unaware that Sadie's arm was around her bare waist. She turned around, being met with the ginger girl's face.
"Shit!" she sat up, the blanket falling off of her body. Sadie opened her eyes as well, confused about what was going on.
"Hey, are you okay?" she looked up to Elle, her brows furrowing.
The blonde turned around, locking their gaze together. She gulped down, her eyes begging her to go down to Sadie's exposed body. Her crush was laying in her bed, next to her, completely exposed.
"I-I.. uhm..." the blonde forced her body to breathe, the eagerness and boldness from the day prior disappearing along with the alcohol from her system. Holy shit. It dawned on her. She lost her virginity hours ago, yet the courage from back then was nowhere to be found.
Sadie relaxed her face, pushing herself off the bed to sit next to her lover. She looked at her lovingly, tiny sparks of happiness floating around her blue eyes.
"Yeah, fine. Perfectly fine." Elle smiled genuinely.
"Are you sure?" Sadie questioned with worry in her voice. Annabelle mentally sighed with herself for bothering her with her own feelings.
"Yeah, this is all just.. new." the blonde laughed, dropping down to bed. Sadie raised her brows for a second, before reciprocating the action with a chuckle. She never felt more at peace than right now.
Though, Elle couldn't say the same. A thousand different thoughts were running through her mind. What would their friends think? What would the public think? What would her family think?
Not that she was searching for their validation, not in the slightest. She was still holding onto her opinion that they were complete assholes, but she knew that they would cause some drama to get back at her. Especially her sister, who more or less, would be forced to do so by their mother.
