A/N: this is the sequel to the Enchanted Lands that I Also wrote so read that, it will make things much more understandable. If you already did read that then welcome! Hope you enjoy! Thanks for reading!

Jingle, jingle. I wake up to the sound of bells jingling on the gnome's head. I hate the bells on their heads. They always wake me up really early in the morning when it is not necessary.
Gnomes are little tiny people that are about as high as my knee, they also have little tiny red hats that go on their little tiny heads, and of course they have bells on the top of their hats to let us know they are there. Someone came up with that idea a long time ago but I thought it was just stupid, it is so annoying. They also for some reason don’t talk. I find them funny, stumbling along, always knocking into walls. Gnomes follow us everywhere, they are very very helpful. We don’t force them to help us, it is just that, they like to help.
Just when I got out of bed my mother calls “Lily time for school, you don’t want to be late on your first day”
    “Coming mom” I called back.
“Lily let’s go if you want a ride” Lea calls. (My sister). We hate each other.
You see, I go to a school called Mountain’s Peak, where they teach us magic with wands and we also have powers, and my sister goes to a school called moonlight. There, people that are elves and fairies go there, they get teached how to control their powers. Our Lands are called the Enchanted Lands and we are ruled by a king and queen. It has been 30 decades since the new queen took the throne and apparently she is from the lost worlds.
A gnome helps me find my socks and I put them on and quickly brush my teeth. I look in the mirror and find my usual dark brown, curly hair, and my shiny brown eyes that are almost black. My skin is a little on the darker side. Most people would think that it is a tan, but I was just born with it. And my puffy blue dress that I always wear on the first day of school.
“I’m coming”  I yelled down the stairs.
I grab my school bag and my wand (the most important thing to never forget) I run down the stairs into the kitchen. Gnomes are everywhere getting breakfast ready for us. I almost couldn’t hear my mom and dad talking because of the jingling bells.
My kitchen is smaller than a usual kitchen, but it is just right for my family. The dining table sits in the middle of the room and has four small chairs on each side.
“I am here” I yell over the bells.
My mom and dad are both sitting on the table. My whole family has blue eyes and blonde hair. The complete opposite of me.
“Good morning sweetheart” dad says not looking up from his book.
Mom hugs me and says “you ready for the first day of school?”
The truth was I was really nervous. What if I don’t get my powers this year?
    “I am ready” I lie.
“Just hurry up, I don’t want to be late” my sister said from the doorway, rolling her sapphire blue eyes. Her ears pointy like an elves, (which she is)
Lea is about 3 years older than me, and today she starts her first day of the last year until she graduates. Which is called the 19th level. I am in the 16th level, four more years until I graduate!
Breakfast is waiting for me on the table. Seaweed and beading gummy’s. My favorite breakfast. I gobbled it down as fast as I could. My mom both gives us a big hug and wishes us good luck.
We are finally in the carriage driving off to my best friend's house to pick him up. The streets are full with people with robes and dresses, the sky was filled with fairies flying off to work or to school. Gnomes stumbling along after people. Most of the fairies help with medical stuff, and some of the most talented go on up to the castle to help king Henry. I have never been to the castle but I hope one day I can. The castle towers over our town where everyone can see it. There were not many carriages though, because of the new invention, the portal ray. It lets you go anywhere you want, as long as you are 15 and pass testing. I am 16 so I can but I am still trying to pass the test.
Me and my sister are silent on the ride there, like usual. When we arrive at the house that is small and brown but cute at the same time, I see his pegasus fly off in his backyard, like every day when we pick him up. He has to go chase him after school. He comes running out of his house with his robes on wrong and his hair was all over the place.
“Hello Wren” I say when he gets in the car. He had long dark brown hair like mine. And a pointy nose and sea green sparkling eyes. Sometimes when I look into his eyes I get lost in them.
     “Hello Lily”
“Lost the Pegasus again” I said, teasing him.
“Don’t talk about that” Wren said under his breath
I laugh, “you lose it like every day”
“She always comes back through, I know that I am her friend.”
    "How do you know that"
    "She told me"
    "Oh, that makes sense"
Wren has the power to talk to animals. He has a like a zoo in his backyard. I hope that my powers come soon.
"I am getting better at it though," Wren says.
“Oh, really” I point to the little rip in his robes.
“Ah, man, that’s the third time this week"
I giggle “so anyway you ready for the first day of school”
     “Um, not really”
“Me either. What if I don’t get my powers this year?”
“You are going to get them this year. You have too”
     “How do you know that”
     “I just do”
After that Wren just talked and talked, like usual. The words blurred up and I stopped thinking about what he was saying. My mind was too occupied, thinking about other things. If I don’t get my magic powers this year, then I would be banned from this world and would be forced to live in the Lost Worlds.
