After a few minutes of everyone talking about what he just did and people pulling out their wands trying to get him back, finally a flash of purple light flashed and a portal popped up and out he came.
Everyone clapped, some even cheered. I just clapped.
He took a bow with a smile, loving the attention. Then he became serious again.
“All right, all right enough. That was the demonstration, and someday that will be you”
He looked over at the time in the sun. How we know the time when we look at the sun if it is over us we know that it is noon, if it is a little under that it is 1:00 and so on.
“Look at the time, class is over” and sure enough the bell just rang. “See you tomorrow,” Mr. Alex called after us.

Lunch passed in a breeze, I only talked to Wren. Too worried about the next class to care about eating food.
Wren noticed “are you ok” he asked.
“Ya, I’m just a little worried about the next class”
“Hey, what did I tell you”
“I will get my powers this year?”
“Exactly, keep on telling yourself that, because you are going to get your powers this year”
He walked off to power class and so did I. Since everyone has different powers class is the only class you do alone.
I walked to my new normal room, people that actually have powers have awesome rooms. Like Wren has a room full of animals that he can talk to.
Sage jumped up on my shoulder, sensing my discomfort. She gave me a little nusle in my neck.
“Thanks Sage” It made me have the courage to take a deep breath and open the door.
A teacher wearing long black robes sitting in a comfy chair reading the newspaper, with brown hair and blue eyes, looked up at me lazily.
    “Hello” he said
The room had a small fireplace making the room glow orange and making me even hotter. There were bookshelves lining the room which looked like they had magical books floating around, and the room also had two very comfy looking chairs facing each other that were meant for me and the teacher.
    “Hi”
He put down the newspaper and standed up.
He looked at me with wide eyes, looking at me up and down.
    “What is it?” I asked
He finally got over his shock I guess and said “nothing, you just reminded me of a human now that you grew so much. You look exactly like her, but that’s impossible. She died a long time ago.”
What? Was it possible that what he saw was the person that was in the picture in the textbook?
He shook his head and said “welcome back Lily” and hugged me.
Mr. Goggle and I have been through so much together last year that he was like family.
“Now let’s get down to business, you still have no powers right?”
I didn’t want to admit it but I had to “yes”
“Now, I have a test that will make your power come out”
     “Will it hurt?“ I asked
“No, no. All you have to do is sit there. Then I will plug this wire in your brain and with a wave of my wand, poof, you have powers”
“That sounds to easy to be true.” I say.
“It is. It has worked thousands of times. Do you want to start now?”
     “But how does it work?”
“The wire plugs into the part of your brain where the powers grow, you don’t have them yet because you may be a late bloomer. My wand makes the wire dig the powers out of that part of the brain and come out”
     “See now that sounds painful”
“No, I promise it doesn't hurt”
“Then why didn’t you do it on me last year?”
“You were too young, I was afraid that you would not be able to stand the waves that would be sent in your brain. We have been through so much together, do you trust me”
I thought about that for a second, we have been through so much. I realized that I did trust him, I trusted him with my life. He helped me though so much of me not having powers last year. But could it be true? Or is it just a silly gadget that got my hopes up?
“Yes, I trust you. Do it” I say at the last second before I change my mind again.
He got out his brown wand and waves it in the air saying the world flmosh, a wire flew out of a cabinet and it plugged into my forehead. I felt it plug into my brain, the pushing and pulling going into and out of my brain. It didn't hurt like he said, it was just weird and uncomfortable.
Mr. Goggle closed his eyes and he looked like he was concentrating really hard.
I counted 13 seconds until I felt the pushing and pulling decrease. Mr. Goggle fell back into the chair behind him, breathing heavily. The wire fell off my brain.
“Are you okay” I asked Mr. Goggle, running over to him.
“The test, this is impossible,” he said through gasps.
I didn’t feel any different. “Did the test work?”
    “The results are wrong”
“What do you mean wrong, how can that be? The test worked for everybody else”
“Well it was wrong” he was practically yelling now.
“What were the results?” I asked firmly.
    “You don’t want to know”
“What are the results?” I repeated even firmer.
He sighed, “the results said that you are human”
