“Amy Garcia,” my teacher called in a harsh voice.
I had to listen to this boring lecture about math. It was so boring that I was dozing off, and the teacher seemed to notice.
“I asked you a question Amy, what is the answer?”
Everyone was looking at me now. I was the best student in my class in my old school, mostly because I get everything even though I didn’t listen. But in this new school everything got harder. I try to listen but I just can’t, it’s so boring. I always lose my focus.
I looked at the board and I saw the question. Solve: (4m+2)(3m-9)=0 what? How do you solve that?
    “Umm, 5=m” I guessed.
“No, if you were paying attention you would know that answer for that question”
Luckily that bell rang saving me from any punishment. I ran out of the classroom, eager to get away from the teacher.
“Hey” my best friends Alice, and Emmet said.
“How was the torcher?” Asked Alice.
“Same as always, it was so boring that I was dozing off,” I answered.
“Come on we have to go to L.A, we are going to be late” said Emmet, always the time keeper.
“You guys go ahead, I have to get something from my locker”
    “Ok,” said Alice.
“Don’t be late” Emmet called when they walked away.
When I got to my locker the hall was deserted. All of a sudden I saw a purple flash behind the corner. Hu. What was that? I was too curious to not look. I knew I was going to be late, but what could a few minutes do? I already was failing all of my classes, so what was the harm?
I ran around the corner, where the flash of light was. Standing there was a girl about my age, wearing a big pink puffy dress. With Dark brown hair, and her eyes were also dark brown, almost black. She had a brown bag hanging around her waist that looked like it only held a few things. Her face looked very confused and then when she saw me surprised, then afraid. I only looked at her face for a second, before she turned and ran down the hall. I ran after her and called “wait,” but she never did.
When I turned a corner that I thought she went down she was gone.

I went back to class after the mysterious girl showed up. I was now barely listening to my teachers.
After school I was so glum, and my friends noticed. Usually I was very talkative, but after what happened I was just thinking about the girl.
“Hey, are you ok?” Asked Alice, “you have been acting weird after math”
I wasn’t sure if I should keep this to myself or not, but then again they were my best friends and I told them everything.
“Remember we swore no secrets,” Emmet reminded me.
“I was just about to tell you,” I said.
    “Oh, well go on”
I signed, “well, when I was going to my locker I saw this purple flash of light and I just had to check it out. What I saw was a girl with weird clothes and I think she was lost but before I had the chance to help her she ran off.”
I looked at their faces and they looked at me like I was telling them a made up story.
    “It’s real”
“Well what kind of clothes was she wearing?” Alice asked.
“A big puffy dress and a brown bag”
“That’s not that weird, maybe she got lost when she was going to a party, and she didn’t want to get found so she ran away from you” said Emmet.
“Ya, but you guys didn’t see her face. She was like afraid of me”
“Maybe she didn’t like talking to people?” Alice said questionly.
“Then why would she be going to a party?”
“I don’t know, just don’t worry about it. It was probably just some random girl” said Emmet.
“I hate to say this but I agree with Emmet on this one. You got to relax” said Alice.
They were probably right, I should stop worrying about it. But when I left school my mind was still on her, something fishy was going on.
