Yesterday I woke up to a frite, my daughter was gone! What happened to her? Why would she run away? Did she get kidnapped? Did she think that we didn’t love her?
We were rushing and rushing to go and find her. We already called the king and queen with this news. They told us that they would do all they could to find her. But that wasn’t enough. It felt like I hopped around the whole land and there is no sign of her.
The king’s and queen’s staff were here to search her room and see if anything there could help with the search.
“How are you doing?” My husband Daniel asked, sitting soon next to me on the couch.
“Daniel, our daughter is gone. How do you think I feel?” I slid my hands up to my face to hide the tears coming down.
“I know, I know,” he said, sliding over and putting a hand over my shoulders. That did little to comfort me.
“But we are going to get her back.”
“How do you know that?” I said through sobs.
He was tearing up now and I never ever seen him cry. “I don’t, but you have to have hope.”
“It’s ok honey.” He said.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. I struggled to stop crying so that I could look presentable.
“You want me to open it?”
I sat up straighter and nodded. When the door was opened there was Wren standing there looking like he was crying too.
“Hey, I heard what happened to Lily.”
Daniel signed and said “why don’t you come in, we are having a pretty ruff day.”
He came and sat down on the couch with me.
“I am so sorry this had to happen” He said. He wrapped us both in his arms with a hug.
I took a deep breath, “thank you for the support.”
“Mrs. Danvers, we will find your daughter.”
Right at that moment the door slammed open where Lea walked in.
“What in the world is happening?” she yelled “there are so many cars outside”
She stopped yelling when her eyes fell on us. She probably saw our ready to cry eyes.
“What happened?” she asked much quieter.
“Come sit sweety” I said.
I scooped her in my arms like she was a baby.
“Your sister is missing.” I said, breaking into tears. I couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“WHAT” she yelled. She ran up into Lily’s room and saw that she was gone. Then locked herself in her room with a big slam.
Just then the King and Queen's staff came down. I could tell that they had bad news.
“Mrs. Danvers and Mr. Danvers we have news for you”
“What happened?” I asked, glad that my voice did not tremble.
One of them let out a sigh “there was no sign of struggle and only her wand, some papers, and her ringer was gone. I don’t think it was a kidnap.”
I let out a sigh of relief. That was my greatest fear. Wren was looking at me with a frightened face.
“But we think that she has run away.”
If she had run away then there was a great chance we could get her back. She couldn’t have run that far. Right?
“Thank you for telling us this.” Daniel said.
“Of course.” He said, giving a low bow. “Before we leave do you have any papers for her that we can take a look at to help with the search?”
“Yes, anything to help get my daughter back” Daniel said with a bold voice.
The whole group went upstairs to Daniel’s office. He put his hand on my hand squeezing it tight. I let out a little smile.
On the shelf there was a bright red folder with sloppy handwriting that said Lily Meyer. Daniel took it down.
“Here’s all the forms that we have on her.”
“Thank you. This will help a lot with finding your daughter.”
“No, thank you for doing all you can to find her.” I said.
He opened the folder and quickly looked through it. His face crunched in confusion.
“Her birth certificate is missing.”
“Oh, we adopted her so her adoption form should be in there.” Daniel said.
“Well I don’t see it.”
“WHAT” he took the folder out of his hands and looked through it.
“How could it not be there?” He asked, his face in confusion and horror.
He then dropped to the floor and started looking around for the forms with no luck.
I was thinking and thinking. Only one thing could pop in my mind. If she found her adoption form then that would mean that she found out that she was human, and there was only one place where humans lived.
“Honey.” I said, pulling him off the ground. “I am so sorry.”
“Sweetheart you have nothing to be sorry for.”
“Yes I do because I know where our daughter has gone.” I said, grabbing his hand desperately.
“Where?”
“To the lost worlds.”A/N: writing this I was like 😭 it's so sad with her parents.
