A Werewolf's Demise

I was afraid to speak and I couldn't think of what to say. I started sweating and I tried to play it off cool. His dark brows drew together and he cleared his throat. His facial expression grew intense as he sat up. He licked is plump lips cleared his throat again.

A smile widened across his face as he spoke"Hey I'm Derek." 

His teeth were pearly white that matched his golden tan skin. 

I smiled "Hey,

"Yeah-I kinda already knew that. I mean, you just told the whole class" He teased me with his eyes. 

In all honesty he is super attractive and the more he spoke the more attractive he became.

"Alrighty students I know we just started but here's your first assignment. Don't worry it's a very simple project and you need a partner. The assignment is to write a research paper on each others family line. Don't stress about the paper too much just focus on the family history aspect of it. This is a great way to meet your partner and their family history! The paper is due this coming Friday and over the next few weeks we will go over genes and chromosomes." Miss brown said.

"Hey Alex" Derek whispered leaning over the desk to get closer. "It looks like we are going to be lab partners." 

"Yeah it's going to be fun." I said Looking down at the desk I could feel the heat rising in my face. 

"Here's my number." He said, Handing me a small slip of paper."Call me later and we could work on the paper or we could hangout after school and work on it?"

I sat there in shock for a few seconds. I could not believe he just gave me his number.

Blindsided that Derek just handed me his number I quickly replied "Um . . yeah we will figure something out at least we have until Friday to get it done." 

"Okay cool!" Derek sounded excited.

His smile never faded and he seemed to take pleasure seeing me smile. I noticed the slight little dimples at the edges of his smile.

He reached his arms back and stretched "This class is so boring."

"You already don't like this class? We just started it." I laughed trying not to trace each muscle with my eyes. 

His muscles rippled across his back as he stretched. The beautiful bulging muscles made it hard to look away. His perfectly sculpted body finally reached a comfortable position. I swallowed and closed my parted lips. I could feel mouth running dry as I traced his body back up to his eyes. 

"You like what you see?" He smiled partially biting his lip.

I started blushing not knowing what to say.

Shit! He caught me and he probably thinks I'm weird now. 

I crossed my arms and looked away "Since when is it a crime to stare?"

Leaning closer to me Derek smiled."Well if it's a crime then I'm guilty."

I could feel the heat radiating off my skin as my heart pounded against my chest. I tried to change the subject and hopefully he wouldn't notice me blushing. 

Take deep breaths! Calm yourself!

I tried not to panic and I tried to lower my rapidly beating heart. I quickly changed the subject to hide my embarrassment. 

I cleared my throat and propped up my arm "So what's your favorite animal?"

"It's either deer or wolves. Deer taste delicious and wolves are badass." He laughed.

I laughed and looked out the window."You must like to hunt then."

"You could say that." Dereks smiled widened.

Whats that supposed to mean?

"Do you hunt a lot?" I let my curiosity get the best of me.

Derek leaned forward and laid his head on his hands. "Yeah I hunt a bunch of different animals but the animal I hunt depends on the season. Deer meat is just my favorite. Around here it's pretty normal to hunt." 

I laughed "I have never been hunting." 

 Derek dropped his hands and turned towards me "Seriously?" 

"Yeah I mean my mom or dad never go." I twiddled my thumbs. 

He then sat back and traced my body with his eyes. "Well maybe I can take you sometime." 

Wait! Did he just check me out? Right in front of me?

"Don't forget the assignment is due Friday! Have a great day!" Mrs.Brown laughed.

"Well I really liked talking to you." He stood up and grabbed his black book bag."I'll see you later."

Dereks eyes darkened and his facial expression changed. Something about him was different and before I could speak he was already gone. I grabbed my bag and quickly tried to catch up with him. He vanished in the crowds of people.

"Derek Wait!" I was trying to see him through the crowds.

I pushed my way through the waves of people. I felt so small in such a large crowd.

"See you later! I guess?" I shouted in the midst of the crowds.

I tried not to think too much about him 

I watched all the people with their friends and heard sounds of laughter. I started feeling an overwhelming since of anxiety. The halls were so crowded and I felt like there wasn't enough air for me. My hands shook as I tried to catch my shallow breaths. A short blonde headed girl approached me. 

"Hey are you okay?" A blonde haired girl  asked.

"yeah just first day jitters." I rubbed my sweaty hands on my pants and tried to focus. 

"Me too! I'm Adelaide but you can call me ade. " She said handing out her hand with a warm smile.

"I'm Alexia but I go by Alex." I shook her hand and pulled myself together. 

 I walked to my class barley paying any attention where I was going. I ran into a rather tall guy and hit my head on the hard tile. The world instantly went dark as my head was pounding.
