The tires swerved against the pavement. Brett has to drive as my thoughts ruled me. I can't believe I didn't talk to him. This is my fault! I shouldn't have left him! We should have been there for him! I couldn't take a deep breath. My finger nails had that same familiar piercing. I was shifting. My claws were out and they weren't going back in. I'm tired of these stupid laws. Who in there right mind would let there boyfriend fight someone especially alone. When you know there was a slight possibility he could get hurt.
"Alex?"
This isn't right! Non of this makes any sense! Something isn't clicking here. My vision changed all I could see was red.
"Alex! Alex!" Brett yelled.
I looked at him and it didn't occur to me that I was half way shifted. My claws were out my fangs were perched.
"Calm down! We will find him! Now let's go talk to his parents. They can help us." Brett patted my leg.
"I'm tired of playing nice." I snarled.
I jumped out of the truck and marched up the steps.
"No, no! Alex wait! We have to respect them! They won't help us if you don't." Brett came after me.
He grabbed my arm and tried to stop me. I snatched my arm from him.
"How come they did help Derek the first time he needed them? Or the second time when the hunters were hot on our trail? Or how about the third time when the whole town knew about Derek? I just don't get it. There are so many rules, protocols and they say do this do that. For what? Respect? I'm going to show them respect."
"Alex please! Wait we can . ."
I opened the front doors wide open and slammed them behind me. "So don't try and stop me because of respect."
When the door slammed it set off an echo through the halls. I felt my wolf pacing inside me. The anger from being locked away. Tormented by the four walls it was locked away in. It was on the prowl and it was blood thirsty.
"Alex! Wait!" Ally called.
Ally, Noah and Brett ran towards me.
"Alex since you are the future alpha of this pack I think it is only fair you are treated that way. Alex I know I haven't always treated you fairly. Let's just be honest here I treated you like a mutt. Alex you are the future of this pack and that's a big deal. Anyways let's not get all mushy-mushy. Alex your are alpha and we think it's best that you don't go through this alone." Ally put her hand on my shoulder.
"Thank you guys that means a lot. Now can we go save my mate slash boyfriend?" I slapped my legs.
"Oh right! Yeah we better go! The alphas usually have a meeting at this time. Upstairs on the second floor near Derek's room." Ally said and they followed behind me.
They never seemed to pass me either. As I approached the doors. My heart rate amplified I could hear it in my ears. My palms were sweaty and was petrified. My claws and fangs retracted.
"Alex you got this! What ever happens we are behind you no matter what." Noah laid a hand on my back.
"Yeah Alex we are with you!" All reassured me.
There were two guards standing in front of the door. I walked to the door and then they opened it for me.
"Pleasure to see you Ms. Alex." One of the guards said.
Ally, Noah and Brett tried to follow.
"Woah! Woah! You three not so fast." The other guard said.
He put a hand on Ally and she gave him a dirty look. "No one puts there hands on me."
