Alex's pov~~
My cold wet hair drizzled all down my back. The feeling of the air against my wet skin gave me chills. I looked at Derek's wet shaggy hair dangling from his head. He skimmed through all the shirts looking for a comfortable shirt.
I looked at Derek."Are you ready for it?"
"More like prepared, never ready." He said bluntly.
I turned towards him and a sly smile spread across his face. "You know out of all the people I have met on their first shift you are the calmest."
"Really?" I said tilting my head.
"-And the cutest!" He smiled pinching my cheek.
"So where are we supposed to go?" I asked.
"To werewolf land the magical place where werewolves shift!" Derek said sarcastically.
"Oh really now? You wanna play it that way!" I said putting a hand on my hip.
"Well I didn't play it, I said it!" He smirked.
"Ok" I said, shoving him in the wall.
"Um?" He bit his lip slowly and smiled.
"What are you going to do now? I got you Mr. Reed!" I grinned.
"Oh really? You do?" Derek then grabbed my arms and shoved me into the wall." The way I see it is that I got you Ms. Scott."
His eyes slowly shifted to red. I stared at them like they were just the treasure I needed. They gleamed in the light as it casted down on them making my face appear.
"What are you staring at?" He settled his hands on his sides.
"Your eyes-their-" I skimmed my hand down his face.
"What? Horrid? Scary?" Derek then grabbed my hand.
"No Beautiful." I smiled softly.
I felt the shift festering up inside of my chest, clawing to be free. My claws proceed to rip out of my fingernail beds.
"I think we need to go!" He said.
"You think!" I held out my hands and showed him my claws.
"Um yeah let's go outside." Derek snatched a shirt off a hanger. "Okay if this rips while you shift it will be okay. But try not to rip it."
"What do you want me to do? Take off my bathing suit with my teeth? If I get my fingers near it I would tear it to shreds." I slapped my hands on my legs and paced back and forth.
"How about I untie your bathing suit and you just through this shirt on." He said quickly undoing my bathing suit.
I quickly went into the bathroom and looked at my eyes. They were blue and purple just like before.
"Alex we have to go! Like now!" He said waving his arms to the door.
"Okay! Okay!" I said walking faster.
He then pulled open the door and I walked behind him.
"Where is everyone?" I asked.
"Probably shifting like we are sort-of doing?" Derek then stopped and then kept walking.
A giant guy walked down the hall. Derek grabbed me and my mouth and leaned up against the wall swiftly.
"Mmphh!" I said.
"Shh! You see that guy! he guards the house when the wolves are shifting." He whispered.
I watched Derek's claws slowly appear right in front of my eyes.
"Mmphh! Mmmphh! Mm!" I said.
"What?" He asked.
"I said why are we hiding? Aren't you the pack leaders son?" I asked in confusion.
"Yeah that's the problem! I have a special place to shift at but I like going to a more natural-free type feel. And he cannot catch us!" He said.
"Umm Derek uhh it's kinda too late for that!" My face was filled with pure panic.
"He's right behind me isn't he?" He asked.
It was almost like it was a movie just how it all happened.
The huge man stood 5 inches above Derek. His body was buff and he looked Like a beef stick. The guy then twisted his head and out came fangs. He had blue glowing eyes and a scratchy smile. The scruffy beard didn't suit the hair style.
The guy took two steps forward and with each step his heavy boot made a loud bump. He growled and balled his fist and then out came the claws.
"What is this nine inch nail fanatic?" Derek smiled.
He tried to make peace with that giant but nothing seemed to work for him.
"Oh okay! Okay big guy! I'm sorry I offended your manicure." Derek smiled and laughed nervously.
The guy walked closer to Derek's face.
"Uh-okay Alex run!" He said quickly, shoving my shoulder.
"No I'm not! I'm not just going to leave you here with this beef stick!" I yelled which turned into a growl.
"Well, fine then! Stay back!" Derek swiftly dodged a punch headed towards his face.
"Woah! Big guy! If you want to knock me out you're going to have to try harder than that!" He chuckled.
The guy then kicked Derek's leg, knocking him off balance. I growled angrily as I saw him getting hurt.
Derek got up and touched the back of his head and there was blood on his fingers."Wow! That's my blood. I have never seen that before." Derek bellowed from deep in his chest.
He closed his eyes and jerked his head to both sides. Large fangs peered out of his mouth. He let out a roar before he pounced. At that moment I knew Derek wasn't there anymore. My bones began to quake as they twisted against one another. My shoulder blade came back and broke and shifted itself in its rightful place. I then fell on to my knees. Every disc in my spine began to pop one by one. I looked down at my hands then all became a blur. Fur crawled out onto my skin all over my body.
"What the-" I said was looking at my hand as if it were a foreign object.
My hand twisted around backwards then quickly shifted back. I cried out to Derek. I noticed how quiet it got. The awkward silence bothered me because I heard my screams bouncing off the walls.
I glanced up at Derek and he was on the ground shifting. I reached my arm out to him. But my body snatched it back as I trembled in pain. I tried to get to my feet but the world was spinning and I couldn't get myself to my feet.
Suddenly everything went black.
