I drove like a maniac.GPS then told me to turn right on almond rd. I then pulled into this long driveway at least it was paved forest lined up on each side. I parked the truck and honked the horn to get Brett to help me. I ripped open Derek's Door and unbuckled him. I tried to pick him up. He was way too heavy for me to pick up alone. He at least had twenty pounds of muscle. I saw Brett running towards me, I grabbed one of Derek's arms and Brett grabbed the other. We lifted him up and carried him inside and sat him on the couch.
"What are we going to do?" I asked.
"He has to get him to the basement!" He said holding his chin.
"Alright let's go!" I said grabbing his arm.
"Are you sure you can handle it? There are stairs." He said with a worried expression.
"What other choice do we have?" I threw his arm down then threw up my hands.
"Well, we could just kill him." Brett said jokingly
"Wow!" I said sarcastically.
"I was joking, do you people ever get jokes?" Brett said, crossing his arms.
"You people! I'm not the same species as Derek! You shouldn't be so snarky all the time!" I laughed.
"Wow, you and Derek are perfect together, both can't take a joke, plus you and he are very snarky. you guys are very tempered!" Brett said.
"Well are we going to bicker like housewives or are we going to help our best friend not wake up to two dead bodies!" I said snarkily grabbing one of Derek's arms.
"Hey don't say anything about that show I happen to like it." He stuck up his nose.
"I can see that!"I laughed.
We took him downstairs and plopped on the couch trying to catch a breath.
" I didn't think Derek would ever be that heavy," Brett said, heavily breathing.
I panted and put my hands on my knees." Man, I am out of shape! So what now? What's our big plan! cause if he wakes up he's going to finish shifting then finish us!"
He stood up and walked around the room holding his chin. " hmm...he cannot stay on the floor and we cannot stay here protected. I could use the chains like last time but then he almost got out of control"
"Where does he usually shift?" I asked.
"At his place where they all shift." Brett said.
"All?" I questioned.
"Yeah, all! They all are werewolves; they do have some humans around because they want to fit in. The rest of the family just moved here during the summer. I met Derek through my aunt Ashley. She is Derek's families 'ajutor' which means helper in Romanian. We have been best friends ever since we were born. A long time ago Derek's great grandfather was an alpha and he traveled to Romania to see the consul. There is a long story but, he found her scavenging for food and she even stole from him. But he took her in what he didn't know was she was a protector. Ajutors protect the supernatural, they have healing powers and can make a killer potion. They also are chosen at birth and grow into their powers. They can cure diseases and other potions. Don't underestimate them they are super intelligent and immortal." Brett said walking around the room.
"Woah, that's so cool who told you all of this?" I asked.
"Derek, my aunt and research books from Derek's library" Brett snickered.
"Alex um...I'm glad Derek has you but, lately he hasn't been himself" He looked at the ground.
I stood up and walked over to Brett."How come he seems normal to me beside the werewolf stuff"
